Media Khabib think Gaethje dont deserve TS.

Ali is so cunning…

Justin: “Ali did you write that!?”

Ali:

Ali definitely wrote that lol

Yup. At his Prime RDA was a monster. He decimated Cowboy, Benson, Pettis, Diaz etc. Even in his last LW fight before moving up to WW, he was beating Tony before Tony landed a disgusting eyepoke.

RDA's skillset was great, excellent striking and great grappling. His streak during his Prime was great, only a loss to a younger Khabib which is no shame as Khabib is the LW GOAT.
Yeah I remember that eyepoke, and that was priiime Tony. I see what he was thinking at the time, but in hindsight man I wish he stayed at 155. I know it works here and there, but for the most part I hate when guys go up in weight. A big part of the sport is staying lean and nailing those weight cuts for a lot of guys at least. Look at someone like Usman who is shredded year around and enjoys being a big WW, imagine what his career would look like if he was at 185 this whole time.

I also heard his S&C coach say he had bad injuries going into that fight, of course it’s fuckin Khabib though so probably didn’t matter lol.

Khabib don’t know shit.

I bet he thinks his bath tub bestie Islam deserves the shot without no top 5 wins.

The way Khabib closely associates himself with Abdelaziz tells you everything you need to know about his character. Being his manager isn't an excuse since many fighters under Abdelaziz don't stick up for him and guys like Burns openly mock him:

Last 9 UFC fights;

-Gaethje; 6 wins 3 losses

-Dariush; 7 wins 1 loss 1 draw

-Islam; 9 wins 0 loss

Last 9 UFC fights:

- Gaethje: 6 top 10 wins
- Dariush: 2 top 10 wins
- Islam: 1 top 10 win

Pretty easy to go on a 9 fight win streak when strength of shedule is as weak as Makhachev's. If Islam wanted to get good fights, he shouldn't have pulled out of them. Ppl don't wanna fight Islam cause he's a pull-out merchant like Khabib, not cause they're scared of him.

The weight cut was what killed him in the Eddie fight. He was passed out in the shower for like 2-3 full minutes before the fight.

There's a podcast called Hybrid Unlimited on sporitfy that RDA attended and he said that his weight cutting problems started all the way back in the Diaz fight.

All these hosers running around social media talking Smack about who deserves what more better watch out! Nate Diaz will weasel his way in front of em all and no one would be surprised motherfuckers!

Islam proved it by saying it in his octagon interview, i posted screenshots with subtitles earlier. He wouldn't say it if it wasn't true.
Maybe he was just bragging about his grappling skills because he's been overdue for a crack at the title for about what, a year now :eek:?

But just because Islam's grappling is the best in the division doesn't mean that there are others who can compete on that level. Poirier and Gaetjhe are primarily strikers both are more comfortable during the exchanges made in the stand-up (with the majority of their opponents even sharing similar approach to their fights), but Oliveira seems different from those two.

He might be one of those fighters that is growing into a fighter that can adapt to any kind of situation and be proficient at it, whether it would be on the ground, or in the stand-up.

That's just my opinion though. Oliveira probably has something in his repertoire that's going to keep Islam honest.

Gaethje, Dariush, and Islam fight each other for the title shot? they are the three top contenders for a title shot atm but they are under the same management. I remember Hooker said that Ali didn't want Dariush to fight Islam, so how will they deal with the logjam?

But just because Islam's grappling is the best in the division doesn't mean that there are others who can compete on that level.

Exactly - there aren't others who can compete at Islam's level....or as you worded it - "it doesn't mean there are others who can compete" at his level.

<DCWhoa>

Its kinda hard, all his guys are at the top so isn't like he have much of a choice anyways

This sport will eventually turn into Boxing with this win streak, undefeated crap.

Imo Gaethje losing to Poirier was more impressive than Islam beating Drew Dober. What happens in the fight, and who the fights against is so important. Some people will think that’s absolutely insane lol.

Isn't this guy a terrorist? Apparently it doesn't matter if he's making people a lot of money.
