It's not just # of wins vs # of losses and quality of opponents, but how the fights were won and how dominant they were.

Yeah Justin faced tougher opponents, lost some fights and also lost a number of rounds in fights that he won.

Islam has the longest streak and includes lower ranked fighters but he didn't lose any rounds in his 9 fight win streak, and recency counts for something - he has 3 finishes in 2021.

Dominating Hooker, Dober and Moises while barely being touched IMO is more impressive than Justin's close wins (and some losses) over tougher competition...especially since he only fought once in the last year.

Justin Gaethje = 6-3 in his last nine fights, with 2 KO losses and 1 submission loss. His best win was washed-up #3 LW, Tony Ferguson.

I used to like Khabib, but he either needs to fight or shut up himself. Thinking Islam deserves a title shot is fine, but no reason to be an ass about it especially if you are not fighting. Islam is a great talent and may be champ ready now, but he doesnt have the "resume" Justin has. Islam should fight someone in the top 5 or top 10 at least before getting the title shot. I like the idea of Islam vs Dariush winner gets next.

Gaehje was finished 3 times cause he's fought nothing but top competition, his losses are all top 5 opponents. If Islam fights that murderers row he's getting KTFO against half those guys.
