Khabib is modern day Fedor

Not by a longshot.
Fedor is 1000 times as exiting as Khabib.

Does he train with kettlebells?

I train with kettle chips

You're not wrong. Both Sambo specialists and champions. Both humble yet ferocious. Both fight under the banner of Russia. Both are hated by Western couch-warriors no matter how great they are. Both truly fine athletes and combatants.

They are great fighters and great people. Well said.

Imagine if Khabib fought Cm Punk for the title. That's the type of fights Fedor had every 2nd or 3rd fight while "on top"

LOL, Fedor averaged more top ranked wins than Khabib:

Fedor's top wins per year in Rings/Pride/Affliction/Strikeforce:

2002: 2
2003: 2
2004: 3
2005: 1
2006: 1
2007: 1
2008: 1
2009: 2

Average: 1.6 top fighters per year

Khabib's top wins per year in the UFC:

2013: 1
2014: 1
2015: 0
2016: 0
2017: 1
2018: 0
2019: 1

Average: 0.6 top fighters per year

Fedor averaged nearly thrice as many fights vs. top fighters than Khabib. The fact that he fought low tier fighters in between his top wins is irrelevant. In fact that only increased his risk of losing his #1 spot.

Cheers.

Khabib isn't even in the same universe as far as technique goes and is similarly far away in striking

Heavyweight is a shit division with no talent

It's the reason why bums like Brett Rogers, with no athletic background whatsoever, can train part-time and be competitive with a "legend" like Fedor.

That's correct. It's a crappy division today.

That wasn't the case in the mid 2000's. It was actually one of the most stacked divisions in MMA along with Pride's MW.

If you were following the sport back then, you should know that :)

Russian, undefeated, undisputed, undamaged, more dominant than anyone, destroys everyone in his path, never been rocked, humble, soft-spoken, likes desserts....yes? no? Discuss.

Fedor never fought in the UFC.

I thought Khabib was a large LW and not an undersized HW?

Meh..He beat Babalu 4 months b4 he signed with UFC.. for instance...

Doesn't matter. He never fought a UFC fighter or a UFC champion. Fedor was too scared to join the UFC after seeing how badly Cro Cop got smashed.

Interestin´... So technically, Babalu ended his contract with Rings, then signed with UFC 4 months later.
If we follow your 'logic', Babalu, in terms of skill set, was not a UFC fighter?

Did Fedor fight Babalu in the UFC? Was Babalu signed to the UFC when he fought Fedor? Pretty easy to grasp this.

Fedor ducked the UFC so hard.

Please explain us the evolution of Babalu´s skill set from Rings to UFC, exactly 4 months later.
