I have a video of my session today, and I'll post it later. I did everything with a narrow stance on this day to give my hips a break.

Babyeater is a pretty badass nickname! I could use some tips on scaring away the freshman bros.

She sounds cool and it's awesome that she supports your training.

It is indeed, and I've taken a liking to it. It's fitting, too, because she can perform some pretty bad-ass feats of strength. I've already seen her do pullups and chin-ups well into the double-digits for sets, and she squats just over her bodyweight for longer sets (8+ reps) with good technique. I bet she's got a squat max near 200, and keep in mind she's around 115 lbs. and doesn't train specifically for strength. She's strong, and talented, and she's going to do well in whatever endeavor she settles on, whether it's figure competitions or something else.

However, I don't think her approach to scaring freshman bros away has been completely successful though: some guys are just that persistent. I know, because I heard about one yesterday.

In all honesty, being with someone who actively supports my training is a new experience for me. In the past, the reaction has ranged from casual indifference to finding it a novel curiosity and nothing more. So, this is kind of great.

Awesome--I have a photo of WC, Goon, and I outside of Poundstone's, but I'll wait until I have WC's permission to post it, since I know she blurs out her face on her physique photos.

ha, I KNEW you were going to say that as soon as I saw you mentioned putting it in here. You have my permission!

well damn, she is strong! If we ever do meet up again to train, you must bring her along. I never get to train with females stronger than myself and I really feel like it's necessary at this point. My ego gets the best of me at my gym when I'm the only girl actually lifting.

Awwwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeah.

I wasn't kidding when I said WC towers over me. And goon was nice enough to sit down; otherwise, he'd tower over me too.

You all look like you need a sammich.

:)

You should have seen the amount of food I ate at cracker barrel on the way back from this day!

Also, Kyle, I wish we could trade heights. I hate being taller than guys. I'm about an inch taller than Goon. Made prom really awkward.

You just need to come out of the sub-200's and get with a big 'ol boy!

lol, I live in a small, hippy town in New York. Goon IS the big 'ol boy here.

Well, yeah. whatever, I just want to get toned for summer.

I typed this while holding a Yorkshire. I am man, Hear me roar.

Good man. Long, lean muscles, that's where it's at. Lots of yoga done on a bosu ball balanced between a set of parallel bars. Done in a sauna.

In general, I think that we'd all benefit from being around higher-level lifters. I know that I certainly would, and even though we have some strong lifters on our team, it would be great to have people who truly outclass me around.

The tallest woman I've ever dated was 5'8". She was a track athlete and high-jumper in high school, and yes, it was awkward sometimes. I'm fine with my height and don't have a complex, but I understand why women often feel differently. 5'4" is great for powerlifting, and besides narrowing my dating pool, I've never had any issue whatsoever with my height.

Tell me about it. We have a 700lb raw squatter and several guys closing in on or well over 500lbs. It always helps to have someone to chase.

I just want a god damned training partner. Everyone's an arse who just wants to get toned. Apparently no one has thirty minutes to lift, but they have 4 hours for COD.
