I think that is an awesome idea Keo. Shame you don't have a reliable camera man as you get closer to the meet so you don't have to worry about it so much.

Such a good idea!
I always thought it would be a great TV show to follow the lives of powerlifters and bodybuilders. I think the general public has no clue what such athletes go through on a day to day basis.
Good luck with the film and the meet and April!

Sherdog is a part of my training, so it has to be included.

It'll be fine. I'll take a lot of static footage, and I can have my partner film if I want to. I have a vision of what the final product will look like, but right now I just need to compile as much footage as possible. I think I'll edit it as I go.

I think I will go through with it! I've been thinking about doing this for a while, and this seems like the perfect time. It will give me some direction in life, at least.

I'd absolutely love to see the film you make. You are one of the few 'doggers that I'd actually want to watch a film about.
 
That seems like a great idea for a project for you. You're very detail oriented, you already post consistent videos of your training and you've continued to make steady progression. I'm not trying to blow smoke up your ass, but you're an inspiring dude and I really appreciate your contributions, as many others do. Needless to say, you would have a lot of support from F13.

I hope we will have the chance to see the finished project. Both because you are an awesome lifter and it will be motivational and get a glimse of your thoughts and approach to training, and because i generally love to watch anything lifting related!

Sure. I specialize in classical Hollywood during the interwar period, but I like everything under the sun. My personal list of favorites--one I did a while back--includes: Black Narcissus, White Heat, Being There, The Bad Sleep Well, Dawn of the Dead, Wages of Fear, Les Diaboliques, Naked City, Once Upon a Time in the West, Seven Samurai, Ikiru, Fires on the Plain, Come and See, and a bunch of others. For contemporary cinema over the last ten years or so, I really like P.T. Anderson, Tarantino, Scorcese, Abbas Kiarostami, Chris Nolan, David Fincher, the Coens, Werner Herzog, Joon-ho Bong, and others.

I'm working out the technical details right now. I'm familiar with basic editing software but unfamiliar with advanced programs like Final Cut. It will depend upon when I can get access to and if I come across someone who would like to help edit.

I asked because I wanted to make a film a few years ago and I found it hard to find a free program to use that was also good. I just use MovieMaker now for all of my training videos.

Sounds like a great project. It'll be cool to see a more comprehensive look at your training/views leading up to the meet.
 
Thanks everyone. I'm still working out the details. I'll know in another week if this is feasible or not.

Anyway, I missed logging the last two sessions, and I'm just going to forget about 'em--I missed my 445 squat attempt (I know I'm capable, but I just didn't have it on this day) but rebounded with a pretty solid dynamic-effort bench session. My camera is officially dead, so I'll have no new training videos until I get it replaced.

I'll re-attempt the 445 in six weeks. From now until then, my focus will just be on improving my squat. If I keep making progress, I should be good for it down the road.

My right shoulder was pretty tight after the wide pressing today, so I didn't go for a max single. 265 felt good enough to go for a close-grip PR, but I was already too fatigued and couldn't get it. I'll probably back off the wide-grip pressing for next week, then return to it the week after.
