Do you like this pick for VP?

Whenever Trump says anything that's not 100% factual, including obvious exagerations to prove a point, or figures that are slightly off because he's rounding up or down, the MSM refers to it as 'a lie.'[/]

But when a Democrat clearly lies when pushing political points they agree with its called 'mis-speaking.'

So yes, Walz clearly lied when mentioning 'weapons in war' that he handled, and also not mentioning M-16s are not the same weapon as AR-15, and he didn't mention the difference.
So he lied twice in that quote.

Trump’s false or misleading claims total 30,573 over 4 years

But we know its just the lies and fake news of "the free press" and "the journalist" oh and the nasty "historians"

<Fedor23>

Alternative facts are, a thing.

The funny part is that Tim Walz could have easily deployed to Iraq as a Command Sergeant Major (E9) or First Sergeant (E8).
From the National Guard side of the house, that would have been a 1-year deployment (10 months on the ground). The guy was Field Artillery. At his rank, he would most likely have had a desk job somewhere in the rear. His chances of being killed or wounded standing at 1%. His biggest daily concern would be if the coffee is hot and if the doughnuts are fresh.

Other official duties would include:
. Answer the phone.
. Answer email.
. Make sure the 'battle board' has been updated.
. Attend briefings.
. Making the Commander happy (otherwise known as 'kissing ass.')
. Disciplinary action.

Unofficial duties would include:
. Watching porn.
. Chasing after young lower enlisted female soldiers.

* He would come out of it with a few ribbons and look good as a candidate for the Vice Presidency. Being stupid, he fucked the whole thing up.

ARs are indeed 'easy to rig' to full auto, and it just takes a bit of 'know-how' with a file to permanently rig an AR15 to be full auto.

But that 'know-how' thankfully isn't well known and most don't even know its possible. Amidst the horrible trend of mass shootings over the last 25 years the only ones with automatic rifles have been involved with gangs.

BTW, I knew several 11Bravos and Special Forces Operators that served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and its well known if the situation that 3-Round-Burst or Full-Auto is necessary, you're WAY too close to the enemy. Always better to engage at a distance because both Taliban & Iraqi Resistence only had full-auto AK-47s that were useless at longer ranges. The first round goes were you aim it and the rest go no where close.

It ain't like Call of Duty.

With respect (I'm serious) this is exactly what I was talking about before.
*Exaggeration.
*Favorably rounding up or down of figures.
*At least being in the same ballpark of correct.

Most of the 'lies' accused of Trump count as at least one of these, as opposed to purposeful deceit.

And usually the 'purposeful deceit' are related to himself and not policy.

Now would you know Biden lied with these statements without it being pointed out to you he lied?

How about when he ran for President in 1988?
Would you know this rant was bullshit without someone saying he was bullshitting?

How about the lies by Biden during the debate?

Yeah my understanding was that the rifles are most often set to semi in war time. I've only heard a Delta guy say he used full auto regularly, said he knew how to control it so why not though I'd wager he was speaking about close quarters and I don't recall him mentioning the weapon(s). Meow that said, the fact that they're often on semi in war doesn't help the argument for keeping them legal.

Having shot both and read up on the effective ranges I know the AR is definitely more accurate (and less recoil than the 7.62 anyway, can't speak to other AK rounds in newer AKs but I'm sure the AR outperforms them) and while I've never shot full auto (I keeps it legal) I couldn't imagine doing so effectively at a distance.

I know Biden has lied and exaggerated, I don't like him though I still find Trump far worse and so much nonsense comes out of Trump's mouth that it's wild, even if we're being a charitable as possible, not to mention his innumerable personal scandals and shit like January 6th. He doesn't respect the constitution nor law. As an aside, there's a video out there of Biden from the 70s or 80s saying he wanted to whore himself for campaign money, something like that, I think he even used that word. I was pissed when he was the nominee and I'm glad to see him go. I'm much more enthused about this ticket.

There's lots of things he could have done. The point is that what he did is totally fine. But you guys will lie and spin it the way you want anyway.

You guys keep proving my point.

Every exaggeration is counted as a lie.
Every slightly off figure, including rounding, is counted as a lie.
Every opinion the 'fact-checker' disagrees with, counted as a lie.

But when a politician they like tells a lie, its said its mis-speaking, inaccurate, fable, or any of the many other synonyms of 'lie' but don't sounds so menancing.

Oh, and when Trump says a 'lie' that later turns out to be true, they don't release corrections.
Those types of articles are pure character assassination.

The difference between you and me is I know the difference between exaggeration, when someone is favorably rounding, or at least close to being correct, and purposeful deceit.

Apparently you have no clue, especially when one of your own favored politicians lie to you.
Dude why do you ride the cocks of people who don’t care about you so hard? You were embarrassing yourself in the Arcade forum justifying Dr. Disrespect sexting a minor and now you’re going in full defense mode for the lying cheetoh Donald Trump. It’s such incredibly bizarre behavior. You get really attached to people and you can’t see their flaws. It’s a huge problem with you and others notice it too.

Bump Stocks are back making semiautomatic weapons fully automatic. Remember the Las Vegas shooter from 2017?

You don’t know any of this. He already filled in his paper work months ahead of time anyway. It’s not like you just leave the same day you decided to retire. He served 24 years, thats more years than the age of many recruits. Just stop

Do you know the time it takes from a unit getting a Warning Order for deployment to getting Official Orders? Factor in about 1 year of training at the unit prior to deployment. That would have given Walz plenty of time to put in his paperwork and he did already have his 20 years under his belt to retire. Trust me. I saw it happen in my unit with a Warrant Officer. Having the right connections makes the paperwork go through even faster. If Walz was a female, there is a good chance he would have gotten pregnant to avoid the deployment.

Yeah my understanding was that the rifles are most often set to semi in war time.

99.99999% of the time they're on their safety.
The vast majority of that 00.00001% are in semi-fire.
Very very rare that 3-round burst or full-auto are necessary.

I've only heard a Delta guy say he used full auto regularly, said he knew how to control it so why not though I'd wager he was speaking about close quarters and I don't recall him mentioning the weapon(s). That Delta guy was most likely bullshitting.
Besides getting shot, the #2 worst case senario is running out of ammo, and with full-auto an M-16 goes through a 30-round magazine in less than 2.5 seconds.

Oh the 'argument for keeping them legal' is so strong pointing out the differences between single-fire and full-auto is irrelevant, because it'd be a law that not only wouldn't be enforced by most law enforcement agencies, including local and state police who swore oaths to protect the constitution, but there's already 400 million semi-automatic weapons privately owned any attempt to confiscate them will be received with a violent counter-response from those who don't respect the governments ability to protect them.... which would be very much earned at that point.

The Federal Government spent 40+ years wasting multiple billions of dollars annually on a drug war they never had a chance at winning.
A war on guns would be lost the moment the legislation is signed, and it'd be revealed how weak and treasonous the federal government & politicians are.

Confiscation of guns = Civil War

And your Democrat politicians know it.
Reminder = Obama had super majorities in the House & Senate from Jan '09 - Jan '11.
Numer of times gun control legislation came up for a vote : 0.
Not even an temporary Assault Rifle sales ban.
The issue, simply is, a way to get suckers to vote for them in elections.

I don’t care either way. He put in his 24 years and he can leave whenever he wants. You’re not bound to serve for life. The takes I’m seeing on this are so absurd.

Watch this video, it demonstrates the difference between 'Bumpstock' Practical Automatic Fire, and Actual Automatic Fire.

And to clarify, I'm in favor of a bumpstock ban, but not from a federal agency mandating it. If Democrats are serious about making them illegal, they should write out the legislation, have it passed in the House, then passed in the Senate, and then signed by the President.

I'm very sure there's enough Republicans to cross the isle on this.

Ever heard of 'Stop Loss.' 24 years of service does not mean shit. It is all dependent on the needs of the Army. Specially without a draft. I'm actually surprised Walz managed to get out of the National Guard when he did. He was well connected. Field Artillery in the National Guard was diminishing in the early 2000s. After what we have seen in Ukraine, it is now making a comeback. The Marine Corps has now gotten rid of their tanks.

Nah, you’re too far gone. You’ve never done any self reflection. You’re terminally online and follow propaganda accounts on X. Your brain is pretty much gone at this point so why bother writing a post several paragraphs long if you’re just going to continue to deny reality? I’ve already listed a bunch of Trump lies and yet you continue to believe it’s everyone else that’s the problem. Again, why do you insist on defending this guy so much? He wouldn’t spit on you if you were on fire and you’re posting about him around the clock on a karate forum. Weird, very weird

“24 years of service does not mean shit.”Stopped reading after that to be honest. Pathetic partisan bullshit. Regardless of politics anyone who serves that amount of time gets my respect

The Delta guy's name is Tyler Grey, below is the timestamped video, he's on the left in the red, the Green Beret is on the right in the black:

I doubt they'll be outlawed but I'm just saying, that they're most often set to semi during wartime (safety obviously out of combat) doesn't help regardless, as the argument is that they're "weapons of war" and functionally outside of the fire select aren't much different. I've had discussions with some of my friends who are gun owners about the legality of guns and how we'd feel if they were somehow made illegal, opinions vary a bit but a couple of us would probably be fine with it depending on the details, but we agreed that most likely, however we feel, as one friend said, "you can't put the tooth paste back in the tube".

It seems like the only people who "get him"
