Elections Kamala Harris picks Minnesota governor Tim Walz as VP running mate

Do you like this pick for VP?

So, I've been back and forward. I really like Walz, but if I was Harris, I don't know if I could have passed up the PA Governor.

I do respect her decision though, because she is going big and gambling on making the campaign about messaging, about winning hearts and minds, rather than about electoral math.

Put it this way: it's the opposite of the pick Hillary Clinton would have made.

Another thing that first gave me pause was the attacks of Walz for being too progressive. But the more I think about that, the less it worries me. It's not that it is an ineffective attack, it's that it was inevitable. In 2020 the GOP attacked Joe Biden (Senator from Mastercard) as a RADICAL MARXIST. Anybody-- including Mark Kelly-- would have been smeared as a radical progressive. So, ok, let's have that fight. Let's fight about what that means. Let's fight about abortion rights, and school lunches, and rent caps, and affordable housing, and child tax credits.

This is as close as we are going to get to the mythical 2016 Bernie vs. Trump election.

Plus Kamala is fine as hell for her age, so the GOP isn't going to be able to make her into the frigid bitch they did with Hillary.

Best they've got is blow job queen.

But who doesn't like blow job's?

Let's go. Balls to the Walz.

Shapiro is not a good move given the situation with Israel.

How many women do you think have an abortion, simply because they wanted to wait, right before birth ??

The key words of your question are 'do you think.'

Taking those words out...

"How many women have an abortion, simply because they wanted to wait, right before birth ??"

...sounds like a topic you should research.

Pro-Choice advocates say it never happens, so why make it legal?

How many babies are born accidently during an abortion and left to die? Those numbers are never reported by the abortion doctors, as well as the numbers for 3rd trimester abortions.

Well first of all a lot of that is nonsense.

Second of all, no that's not even "progressive."

3rd of all, it's just not going to stick.
Okay which one is nonsense?

Literally it’s legal in Minnesota to have an abortion at any time for any reason.

@Sinister

Is abortion legal in Minnesota? Yes.

Yes. Abortion is legal in Minnesota. There is no limit on abortion in Minnesota based on how far along in pregnancy you are. To figure out how far along you are in pregnancy, count from the first day of your last period.

He said, on the day he was chosen...

Little early to be talking about what's going to "stick" to him. You didn't think "Biden is old and has dementia" would stick. It stuck so hard, that the Dems kicked his ass out, LOL.

Early days...

Um, pretty sure that a woman would only have an abortion right before she gives birth because of a medical reason or emergency

I am glad it's not bone spurs in his heels. lol
in 2004 the iraq war was still somewhat popular. Popular enough to not cost W the election. In 2005 it totally killed his second year. Which is bizarre theyll try to hit him on retiring rather than go to iraq. Like who still thinks iraq was a good idea?

God damn.... Can we agree we all all deserve better than whatever it is we get in November? How do we not have better choices ?

Um, pretty sure that a woman would only have an abortion right before she gives birth because of a medical reason or emergency

And 'medical emergencies' not 'medical reasons' have exceptions written into laws.

That's a non-issue.

You’d think. You’d also want that codified if you have a soul that is.

In Minnesota though? Nope. Any time. Any reason.
