A couple of challenges to face with Zoomers is that they're an extra sensitive generation that puts mine (millennial) to shame on that front. They're not only even less patriotic as a whole - lot of these kids can't even afford housing right now so I get it to a degree - but seemingly a lot more likely to be in favor of curtailments on freedom of speech and infringements on the right to keep and bear arms. It's essential, perhaps now more than ever given the shit going on in the UK, that they understand not only the importance of why we cannot have "hate speech" laws (no matter how nasty, objectionable, and unpleasant the sentiments) but the fundamental difference of the US Constitution compared to the national charters of so-called contemporary western peers. They need to understand that our rights are inalienable and protected from the government, not granted (and subject to being stripped) by the government.

It might help if every time a school gets shot up people stop telling them that's just the price they have to pay for the thing you value. Gen Z and Alpha ain't trying to hear all that. They're also not taking kindly to people who just generally dislike the idea of "diversity"...because their friends are diverse. They're gonna be apt to take that personally. They need to be educated and allowed to debate for themselves, rigid regimentation of their lives to adhere to ideologies they have no connection to isnt going to work.

@Sinister i work in a place that keeps tampons in the men’s room. It doesn’t really “bother” me but I do think it’s weird.

What bothers me is that there is no floss or mouthwash in the bathroom. Stuff I actually need!

It can be weird in certain contexts, but it being sexualized is weirder.

I agree about the floss and mouthwash.

Tampons may come in handy to pack gunshot wounds.

They aren't in there for you to stick them up your butt or to affirm men who identify as women to do, uh, whatever else. It's for FTMs. They're biological women with female reproductive systems who have periods.

I concur though I do think it's hugely, bigly important that the first amendment is preserved.

It's not so much my rigid ideology as it is adherence (and indeed, love) for the Constitution. Do you think we'll ever see a time in which we have 290 US Representatives, 67 US Senators, and 38 State Legislatures who are in agreement on passing and ratifying another Amendment?

They're bringing racist and gay shit into classrooms full of young kids. That's why the republicans hate it so much, because it's vile and disgusting shit they're trying to brainwash kids with.

Yeah not really something I’ll ever need.

I think the whole thing is just an outrage against who goes in what bathroom.

Thread should be renamed to "Gae Gotchas!". Such pathetic attempts to discredit Walz. Republicans are in serious trouble with this straw-grasping nonsense.

Man, I've no idea, I haven't given it much thought.

Republicans: "16 years ago in a speech, Tim Walz said something that was literally true but possibly misleading. How can we ever trust or believe this man again? Everything about his is clearly a fraud."

Also Republicans: Supporting Donald Trump

The story has already been posted many times. He's not on the ticket, so why does it matter?
Again, because it reflects on Harris's character. She knew about it when she married the guy. How does she know he won't do it again or maybe has already done it again. What was that mouth kiss with Jill Biden in Congress? That is not normal for most people. Liberal Democrats have never been 'normal.'
