And as a country we are left with 2 horrible candidates because of identity politics and we all lose. We are in trouble right now due to the last 4 years. She is not capable of leading us out. No way. She is hot air. But she will win. An absolute brilliant hand played by the Dems. Brilliant. Kick the old guy out at the last minute when they knew he had no shot. Replace him with a female POC VP, and distance her from the last 4 years. They win, we all lose.
You're wrongly putting this on "identity politics". This isn't about identity, because it isn't really about Kamala, being female, or being a POC. This is fundamentally about what direction you want to see the country go----left or right...Trump, or noT Trump.
Does the identity politics
help to motivate people to vote for and against? Sure. But it's not why we're here.
What we're seeing on the right is them getting behind one person, Trump. On the other side, this is more about party. Who was EXCITED to vote Biden? Who is bummed that he is out?
The reality of our politics is that regardless of who the president is, there is a party that is moving or blocking things behind them.
Trump didn't do anything extraordinary as a president. But just him being in office meant he could get some Supreme and federal judges picked, and that helped to structurally change things in favor of Republicans.
However much 'hot air' you think Kamala has, however incapable you think she is, she is being compared to Trump. And it doesn't get worse than a stubborn old man that thinks he has all of the answers and is backed by a bunch of ass kissers.
Do you think the Democrats planned for this to happen? To put Kamala in at the last minute? That they really thought Biden had no shot? That wouldn't of made any sense. Kamala was not the least bit popular, and if that was the plan, they would have been doing some work to make her look better/more likable beforehand.
This also makes Biden look bad, and would make no sense why he would taint his own legacy in this way.
