Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

Politico noticed something yesterday.

"On its website, the Harris campaign axed a reference to Walz as a “retired command sergeant major” and now says that he once served at the command sergeant major rank — a small change that nonetheless reflects his true rank at retirement from the Army National Guard."

He didn't lie, but felt the need to change it. Sure thing, bud.

He achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major, but he did not retire at the rank of Command Sergeant Major. I see why they'd scrub that, but it is definitely not inaccurate to say that he was a Command Sergeant Major.

You are free to go find the Minnesota National Guard's statement on the matter.

Pulling out a laptop and making a presentation….

I didn’t say anything about Biden’s performance. I am specifically speaking to her comment. She made a comment claiming that she is going to start bringing down prices day 1 of her presidency.

So that assumes she is going to do something different, no?

She didn’t say “I’m going to continue the policies of this administration to keep bringing down prices”.

This presumes her policy will be different. If it’s different, and better, why as VP did she not make these recommendations. If she did, did Biden ignore her? If so, then why has he been celebrated for being so great?
lol Brother, are you aware that Kamala and Joe are entirely separate people with different ideas? And that their relationship is one of subordinate and superior?
Are you aware that they ran against each other, so that means they didn't have the exact same policies ?

That means, Biden thinks his ideas are better. Biden is the boss. So whose ideas do you think Biden usually utilized, his ideas, or her ideas? They are not equals.

lol This argument that she "withheld her ideas" is just beyond absurd. The argument is that Biden is great compared to TRUMP.
Kamala ran against Biden, but she joined him to beat Trump. Since she ran against him, she obviously thinks she has her own path forward for the country.

O

okay so then being VP is meaningless, she hasn’t advised on any policy and Biden was ruling without the aid of his administration.

Kamala will come in, with completely new ideas, all her own since her administration will have no bearing on her policy, and solve everything.

The ENTIRE TIME all I heard was “it’s Biden’s administration that is helping him!” Now it’s “the VP doesn’t do anything”. From “She’s his chosen successor! VP is such an accomplishment! She’s not a DEI hire!” To “you know, VPs are basically ignored”.

You are literally walking through this thread with clown shoes so big they can barely through the door.

@ShadowRun are they really this dense??
The intellectual dishonesty is peaking, but it’s election season . So she must be so stupid and worthless that Biden didn’t even want her involved is what I’m seeing. Kind of like Biden to Obama .. that’s pretty low on the totem pole

I am struggling if people are really this dumb.

Can they really believe that the second in command, the one they have been consistently saying was chosen to succeed Biden, has all these answers but never passed them along?

I kept hearing how “it’s okay that Biden was old it’s his administration that is helping him”. Is Kamala not part of his administration!?

How can they say she has no input on policy but also say she’s the most capable and was chosen as his successor!? Was Biden making decisions all on his own the last 4 years!?

This is driving me insane that people have this level of thinking.
Try this level of thinking: Biden is the fucking president and does what he wants. Harris could have all sorts of policies she wants to implement that Biden has no interest in. And since when is the VP anything but an under-study? Aside from Chaney, who seems to have been running things while Bush put on goofy smiles in front of premature Mission Accomplished banners, VP's have historically been in the background doing a whole lot of fuckall--at least as far as public awareness of what they do in their time in office is concerned, anyway.

If Harris is to show the public she's her own person with her own mind she needs to present fresh policy. These complaints are hilarious coming from people who would never vote for the Harris Walz ticket no matter what she said.

LOL @ the irony of this tool complaining about intellectual dishonesty.

Okay so on one hand I keep hearing how her greatest accomplishment is being VP. Now being VP is meaningless.

She has all the answers on how to lower prices, but never told them to Biden.

Can’t you just say “yeah that’s a pretty stupid line”.

So either Biden, who you all loved a month ago, ignores her great ideas or she never told him?

@Limbo Pete in our last interaction I told you I wanted to have an actual constructive conversation.

Do you really think she has the answers she is claiming? If this is the biggest issue for most Americans, why isn’t she passing along these answers? Or do you think Biden is just ignoring her?
I didn't say being the VP was meaningless, I said that the role they serve is almost entirely at the discretion of the President.

How can you back out of something you never agreed to in the first place? That was all Trump made-up debate the only official debate I know of is The ABC debate which they both agreed to and which is still on. If Trump wants a safe place debate then have his team call her team and negotiate the terms of the debate, like you all did for the ABC face-off which Trump is now backing out of.
I am sure Harris is afraid of asking the questions on the border...
In the ABC debate the questions will be tamed.

An old Walz press release where he claimed he was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Walz once said “We can make sure that those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at.” Everybody knows this is BS.

Two veterans paid to publish a letter in the West Central Tribune, a Minnesota newspaper, in 2018. Walz, who's always been quick to answer his critics, remained quiet about it.

We also know he lied about his rank.

I don't think it's a big deal, politicians have a tendency to embellish things, but let's not pretend it didn't happen.
You didn't watch the video in the post you're responding to, obviously. I suggest you do. He didn't lie about his rank.

Re: the bold, I think this is a silly complaint. "Walz once said..." hides what he was doing when he said that. He's making a point while giving a talk about guns. It's a rhetorical device. OK, so he played with semantics a bit but it was in service of making a particular point. There is no good reason to, uh... get up in arms over it, IMHO .

Tackling those hard hitting questions I see .. lol

She could not even answer this, she should have told the lie she listened to Tupac before his album came out . Instead of 20 secs of retardation ..

I have a GWOT (Global War On Terrorism) medal that I was awarded in my 24 year career on active duty. I also was trained on the M-16/M-4 and M-9 Beretta platforms. I have never deployed to the Middle East.

Did I carry those weapons in the GWOT? Yes. Did I actually go to the Middle East? No.

We shouldn't disparage anyone's service because what they did doesn't match up to our or anyone else's expectations.

So, he wasn't a Rambo. He still played his part on the team.

Who has had his ear? Clearly he's too old to be using what's between his ears to make any important decisions so who exactly is running the country?
First of all, you're so down the Republican lying conspiracy theory train that you probably think he's not running the country....

Which is super dumb and a huge assumption you guys have that is unfounded.

I am 100% on board admitting that he's unfit to be president but he's unfit because any emergency situation that could arise could catch him when he's having those senior moments like he had at the debate.

But he has some good hours throughout each day and so he's running the country based on his own policies. And then you know we're blindly and stupidly trusting that he has a cabinet to get a handle on things in an emergency that require thinking clearly when he isn't clear.

"The FACTS are that Tim Walz served for 24 years — reenlisting for four more years after 9/11 — and put in for retirement months before his unit ever received their notification of deployment. He was honorably discharged in May of 2005. His unit received their orders for deployment in July of 2005, and they deployed in March of 2006 — fully staffed, fully sourced.

The FACTS are that the Minnesota National Guard has confirmed that Tim Walz was a Command Sergeant Major, and have emphasized that he can be referred to as Command Sergeant Major.

ANYTHING ELSE — from the GOP, from Trump, from Vance, from the media — is dissembling. It's a distraction. It’s bullshit. Excuse the language, but this is important.

These attacks are bullshit. Period."

Everybody knows the national guard serves the shadow government that is actually running the country but only when Democrats are president. When republicans are president they go away and stop running things.

I didn't expect more from you. 4 years back? Yes. Now? No.

What I posted didn't have anything to do with expectations. Great cope answer!

Keep up the good work Comrade I never served in the US army or any other branch but my dad did and my grandfather as well as my relatives something the Trump family never did not Donald, not Donald Jr, Sr or his father, Jared and his daughter never did ether remember "Serving is for suckers and losers or John McCain was captured I like my war hero's never captured". It appalling that all been talking about is Tim Walz military service when draft dodger Trump is hiding in Florida and only popping up as his poll numbers go down.
