Elections Kamala Harris for POTUS

I already counted your earlier “she ain’t black” posts, you didn’t need to post another.

Is anyone telling that dude he has to vote Kamala because she’s black? I haven’t really seen that and I’m certainly not saying it. If he feels better voting for a racist white dude who had literal white nationalists in his prior administration, the dude can do that.

Too light skinned?? Haha wtf? Not compared to the pasty ass old Irish white dude we elected.

—She didn’t have the spine to take a stand one way or the other on impeachment, and instead voted “present” lol—the only member of Congress to do so.
—She refused to condemn Bashar Assad until media pressure got so bad she finally capitulated.
—She introduced bills to restrict abortion.
—She praised the SCOTUS’s BS 2A decisions .
—She praised the SCOTUS’s BS school prayer decision.
—She supported Republican Glenn Youngkin.
—She opposed expansion of social safety net and benefit programs.
—She opposed Build Back Better.

Let’s also not forget the time she tweeted rbat if she was elected, she’d secure a $15/hr minimum wage—and then when a bill came up for a vote to do just that only a couple weeks later, she didn’t vote on it.

Tulsi is awful.

She wasn't enough of a "woman of color" for Joey and the racist DNC platform that demanded identity politics and diversity hires in the highest office, yes.

All the supposed independents and centrists whose ostensible concern with the Democratic ticket was Biden's age should now strongly consider voting for Harris right? After all she is more than a decade and a half younger than Trump.
Definitely better to have a younger person. I’d feel more confident in her handling a late night call or even thinking critically.

I don’t like her because of her flippancy and victim/identity politics, prosecution track record, lack of administrative accomplishments/history and “blow with the wind” persona.

The personal stuff like sleeping her way to the top, terrible speaking ability and cackling are kind of sprinkles on top but not the main reason she’s an empty suit.

No, but I think there was a whole “how could they pass up a black woman” thought going around.

I’m sure they also think that the black vote is a monolith that will vote for her purely on skin color.

If you guys do the dumb thing where you all start screeching that she's a secret muslim from Africa, yea maybe.
Who's you guys? You realize there are other voters in this country besides Ds and Rs? if you are referring to me as a critic of the DNC and their loser antics and mentality, then yeah you got me pegged

If you "Kamala supporters" "DNC hacks" "Leftwing sycophants" etc. etc. whichever group you think you represent, take every criticism of her and conflate it with some shit you read over the internet, then yeah, maybe I will be correct.

They can only think in terms of identity markers and how that makes you either in-group or out-group, because it all comes down to in-group vs out-group. That's how the preferred candidate of family values Evangelicals became a thrice married and soon to be thrice divorced adulterer.

How does that compare to the other candidate who tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power to overturn a free and fair election? Who had virtually no political experience before taking office in 2016? You would think a centrist would look upon her favorably in light of that right? After all if there's one thing centrists should value its foundational American norms like recognizing the peaceful transfer of power and conceding a loss in a free and fair election no?

You asked about Kamala, dude.

I dislike Trump. Do I have to staple it on my forehead?

We're in an election thread and I asked you about the two most likely candidates and how they compare, is that weird to you?
@Islam Imamate are you simply making the “lesser of two evils” argument?

This is why politics is a wasteland.
No, Trump in this context is a unique evil and not simply a slightly greater one because he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power and overturn a free and fair election in the world's most consolidated democracy.

You made it seem like I should have commented on Trump in my original reply.

I’ll tell you what, I won’t vote for Trump. How about that?

“You don’t like Kamala or Joe!? You must LOVE TRUMP!” - Islam probably
I don't like Kamala either but that's irrelevant here. I'm not asking you to evaluate them as drinking buddies, I'm asking you to evaluate them as candidates.
You made it seem like I should have commented on Trump in my original reply.
No I didn't, I simply asked a follow up question but naturally as a "centrist" you end up being incredibly defensive and evasive about it.
I’ll tell you what, I won’t vote for Trump. How about that?
I didn't ask you about that and I have no confidence that you'd tell me the truth either way. I asked you how does your complaints about Kamala compare to the fact that Trump tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power and overturn a free and fair election?

Also where the hell is @Loiosh ?
not directly related to Loiosh but there seem to be a lot of missing democrats on this thread. I'm wondering if there is some embarrassment as they tried to shame reasonable people who had the capacity and integrity to admit that Biden is too old and looks too old and was/is not fit to be president. we put truth over party and were shamed by establishment types.

You guys as in the folks who got called racist last time a black person ran.

That doesn't really include independents or libertarians or whatever you're claiming to be because they didn't latch on to the racist birther shit like conservatives did last time. So in that case you have nothing to bitch about or get ready for.

She’s never impressed me but Trump losing to black woman would be really really funny and completely atomize chud brains so I guess that’s my best outcome at this point. That would probably turn out to be a big monkeys paw though. Trump’s ascendancy was basically revenge for Obama and a bunch of culture war shit. I can only imagine who they’d inflict on the country after a Kamala presidency.

Meanwhile:
—3 posts above you is a “she ain’t black” post (it’s her mother’s side that’s Indian, her father’s is Afro-Jamaican, i.e. a Jamaican of African ancestry)
—2 posts below you is a “she slept her way to the top” post
—2 posts below that is a “her family owned slaves” post (the connection itself is not proven, it’s super misleading to phrase it that way rather than saying “she’s (possibly) descended from slave owners, something that’s true of many people with Jamaican heritage and also true of many African Americans here in the US, evidence indicates she’s probably descended from both slaves and slave owners).

Of course that doesn’t mean all conservatives think this way, but let’s not put our head in the sand about it either. There are plenty of lowbrow, shitty, race-baiting misogynistic attacks flying around the interwebs already.

If her campaign MO is to defend herself at every turn over the next four months and spend the majority of her innate psychic energies fighting all these ridiculous innuendos while pointing her finger at the evil racist and sexist Bid... sorry Donald Trump, whist not showing much vim and vigor towards developing real solutions to the real problems we as a nation of all colors, creeds, religions, etc etc are facing in 2024, then I will be proven right and the DNC will continue to be exposed as a useless party that only pretends to care about its constituents but will shamelessly pander to no avail.
