That's unfortunate. :(

Knowing what we know about Hollywood now (or have known for a long time), very few - especially child stars - get through without having to go through some bullsh*t! The whole "sexy minor" thing is a weird Hollywood trope that no one ever talks about but is weird af.

I saw a video of Shirley Temple that was showing all of the sexual innuendos in her movies, which most kids probably wouldn't have noticed but have aged f*ckin TERRIBLY when you watch them!

Perhaps she got less attractive she aged so they covered her up a bit more

I began watching the show recently and did in fact notice this. Kaley (who plays Penny on The Big Bang Theory) wore booty shorts and Uggs during the early seasons.

In the later seasons they had her dressed more conservatively.

I get that everyone has their time, and women are typically hottest around their early to mid-20s, but she was still attractive in the mid to later seasons as well. Making her the "hot girl" even in 2012 wouldn't exactly have been unbelievable. Truth be told, even in Kaley Cuoco's new show The Flight Attendant, she isn't exactly rough on the eyes. At 36 years old, she is a regular MILF.

I wonder if it has less to do with "Kaley is no longer hot" and more to do with character and show development(?) BBT started out as a show about a group of nerds and a hot girl, it evolved. Penny became less of a one-dimensional dumb-blonde, Kelly Bundy knock off and developed as a character. The show also developed into more than just "Ah, we're dorks who have a sexy neighbor we can't talk to!"

How does the college chick dress vs the woman five years out of college. Dressing evolution sounds like the most believable thing on the show.

*straightens bifocals* Ackhtually... she dropped out of community college at the beginning of the show!

Maybe there's truth to that. But is that because they've matured or because they're no longer as hot? I think a chick that's still "got it" is gonna flaunt it as long as possible.

I don't think she declined too much... just my opinion. Probably dropped .5 points, but she was still hot in later seasons in rare scenes when she wore those sexy outfits. Again, I feel part of it had to do with her character having more dimension. She went from simply "the hot neighbor" to the main character's girlfriend with more depth.
 
it should have, at the start of the show, she was single, an aspiring actress and hooking up with random dudes. And by the end she was married and had a career.
