Media Kai Asakura (UFC Japan) Highlights🇯🇵🏆👺

Would be awesome to see Japan have a UFC champion. They go so fucking hard in boxing, judo that you can tell they produce elite talent in those 2 as they're both Olympic sports.

I also think Pantoja will show up old overnight anytime now as well

What a joke to give dude a title shot and haven't even won a fight in the UFC.

I hope he has been training in a cage. It's a big change from a ring when someone is shooting for a take down or when against the cage clinch fighting.

People gotta realize Saku was the first UFC champion from Japan. Learn your mma history please.
Most do know but that was a tournament championship, something they don't do anymore.

So while technically correct, it's still gonna be a big deal when a Japanese fighter wins a belt in the modern era ufc

He's exciting, but I think he's getting strangled tonight.

Good to see you know your shit. Back in the day tournament champions were looked at the same as Belt champions. It was that weird time period where they still used the original tournament format while implimenting real weight class belts at the same time. Both were still regarded as championships until fully fazed out by Zuffa a few years later to weightclasses.

why is this guy getting a UFC title shot with only a few fights removed from losses over in the B leagues?
