Just took a drug test at Quest Diagnostics

All the drug tests are designed to catch is weed smokers, it's pretty silly. Just because employers are invading more and more into peoples private lives doesn't make it ok. What if every job drug tested? I'm sure your answer would just change to nobody should smoke weed then. Gtfo with that. If it's on your own time, it isn't the employers business. I will forever hate Quest Diagnostics, They sent me a bill for $1,000 for 4 blood tests. Standard physical bloodwork was denied by my insurance pre-AFA. I argued with them for like 8 months and I think I ended up paying $600.

Nah, you're speaking as if you're entitled to a job at whatever company. You're not. It's not your business, you don't own it, you don't run it.

Whoever owns that business decided that he/she doesn't want drug users working at his/her business. That was their choice, and they're entitled to it, seeing as they're the one's who own that business. So when they employ people, they ask them to take a drug test.

You don't have to work there, you can go find a company that doesn't screen.

Maybe one day, you can put yourselves in their shoes, own your own business, and go about your own way of achieving the very hard task of hiring trust worthy and dependent people without knowing these people at all or what they're like.

Except that's not why these corporations drug test. I don't think many small businesses are drug testing - it's mainly big corporate type jobs. And I'm sure the reason is due to insurance purposes and trying to "weed" out all the massive druggies. I get it, I really do, but I don't think someone who is qualified for a job should be denied that job because he/she partakes on their free time.
