Just got my Bas Rutten Cd's. . . . HOLY ****!!!

When I hear someone say 'defense' i want to punch them in the throat.

Jumping squats FTW.
 
I also like "Don seet down"...I usually flip the bird (from inside my glove) towards the stereo...



...a respectful finger, mind you.
 
I got them a few years ago, so mine are casettes and a VHS. I wish it was a DVD and CD's.....

It is a great workout though, fun too if you hit the bag. I mostly do the boxing or Thai boxing workouts.

So basically I have about 3 weeks to burn off about 10lbs. I was wondering how many calories do you think Bas' all around fighting workout burns?
 
I have a question also. I'm thinking about ordering these. How much room would be necessary to complete it? I have a spare bedroom that has an elliptical in it. I would say the room is 9x11 feet.

I love Bas's Thai Boxing Tape, I use it once a week.

At first 2 minute rounds x 10 would kick my ass. If you go 100% it will test your cardio big time. After about 8 or so 2 minute sessions I moved up to 3 minute rounds x 7. It is a great way to fit cardio/agility into a 30 minute window.

If you do 100%, you will be almost puking, and probably around 500-800 calories. Talking means nothing, doing everything.

On my bike I burn about 400 calories in 30 minutes, and I figure bas's tape is roughly twice as hard, maybe more.

i think your probably dead on.. I dont think the most i've ever gotten through is 12/ 2min rounds on the Thai workout.. I'm usually more exhausted than a half hour of hard stand up which burns roughly 600-800 calaries.. so I would say that number sounds good!

Slap on some 16oz boxing gloves to burn even more

Thats plenty, I just got my cd's and have been doing the boxing ones in my room to get started. You really just need a little room to shadow box and a little extra for the all around ones when doing sprawls and push ups. Great work out.
 
I ordered them for myself as a christmas gift. I started doing the thai boxing cd and right now Im getting crazy gassed at 3 rounds :(
 
My buddy Pete has somehow never heard of Bas Rutten, so when I offered to share the tapes with him, he said "Sounds like a waste of time." Can't wait till we spar again so I can watch him gas!

I haven't worked this hard since October (football season). Definitely worth the money!
 
I just finished the all around fighting CD a few minutes ago. Ive been doing the cd 5 days a week for 4 weeks, gone on a diet, and have lost 27lbs. Something I would recommend also is that you skip in between rounds. Damn fine workout.

just ordred these. my training partners never show up,..so this will have to be the next best thing.
 
My legs and chest have been sore for 2 days after doing the all around workout... fuck you jumping squats, lunges, and pushups!
 
Yeah the jumping squats are killer if you go 100%
