Just got my Bas Rutten Cd's. . . . HOLY ****!!!

Ross gives you the ideas to formulate your own conditioning routines.

Bas is more a follow-along approach.
 
Bas's CD's are killer, he is not nice. I always felt like if I didn't do as his ethereal voice said, he would come through the Sound Waves and leg kick me
 
any southpaws using this cd.. i notice that it uses the left as the jab..

Basically, it's 4 cd's and 1 instructional DVD that just shows you the basics.

You can do them pretty much everyday if you want (if you can).
They have a Boxing, Thai Boxing, All Around Fighting, and All Around Workout.
They have 2 parts on each disk, 2 minute rounds, and three minute rounds each with 1 minute break in between.

No weight lifting is involved but it will definately improve your stamina and punching power.
In the all around workout, Bas has you doing push ups, abs, sprawls, and much more.

Trust me, its worth it.

I just received mine last week and I am absolutely loving them.
I am out of shape but doing these workouts 4 times a week and taking care of my diet I am sure I will get in shape in short time.

Bas is the man!

i have the infinite intesity book, that shit really does own... i have a tree outside and i tried those pull ups with a towel and arms hurt like hell lol...

if you go to his site to that dood makes alot of training tools out of nothing... good shit for info if anyone's interested/ doesnt know about it
 
I have one question regarding these workouts as I already have the CD's. Do you think these workouts could be classed as HIIT? I only ask because as most of you are aware it's pretty strenuous if you push yourself but of course you have the standard 60 second rest period between rounds to recover.

wow I did hear good things before and now I am hearing them again. I own alot of instructional books that I use for piece of mind, not really perfect I really dont know how to. I'd like to know if the videos are technique drills that you perform by yourself? or do you need equipment? I am sure you need room of course. Well I've always wanted to get some training videos for an additional benefit, maybe get a bubba dummy. anyway ill be sure to put some cash on paypal. the treadmill gets boring lol. train hard everyone!

the video is only meant to be watched once or twice...just to get acquainted with what Bas wants you to do when he yells out "Two! Two an' a right straight!" and how your reaction would be different on the Boxing CD than the Muay Thai CD.

...and access to a bag or someone holding pads is best, but the workout is just fine shadowboxing with 16oz+ gloves on.
 
Just got my CDs and DVD today in the mail.

Looks to be an interesting routine. I shall report back with my progress in a month or two.

I don't have anyone to hold the mitts or a bag so I stuffed an army duffle with blankets and I do 1 round shadow then 1 round GnP back and forth and it makes it more challenging. I haven't done mine in a while, but I am doing it tonight. Bahm Bahm Bahm!

Even more "poor mans" is folding a mattress in half against a corner.

If its pretty "springy", just jam one tall edge into the corner, fold, and place something heavy on the other side.
 
Holy Shit, I just went 3 2 minute rounds on the boxing workout and I'm fucking beat. I'm out of shape like nobody's business. :-(
 
Bas' workouts are the best!
I'm doing the thai boxing three times a week now for fight prep in March.
Monday I do shadowboxing, Tuesday Thai Pads, and Friday the heavy bag.
The next two weeks is 5 rounds, then one of 6 and then two of all seven 3min rounds.

The workout is pure genius!
 
I just got my cd's as well. I am doing the thai-boxing 3 days a week in preperation for a tournament in april. I did 7 rounds (2 minute) yesterday, today im gonna try and do the whole thing, which i believe is ten rounds?
