yup...and this advice goes for the MT CD too...
...when using them for the heavy bag workout, the punch technique is very important; especially when chaining combos to kick effectively, front or rear leg, after the punch combo...
DO NOT PUSH THE BAG! A lot of people think that going with a full follow-through on the punch creates power (which it does in a fight situation), but on the heavy bag, all it does is swing the fucker around and make it harder to kick (i.e. after a "4", if you push too much after the first right straight, you seem to move forward to land the left hook, which makes the last right straight in close range, which punching hard will swing the bag waaaaay out, and then the left/front kick is hard to throw, even if you do a switch kick)...
...instead make the punches hard but 'snappy' - focus on bringing the glove back to guard/starting position after the punch...this will also help with the hip/shoulder rotation to throw the next shot from the opposite side
[side note: I like to mix up the punches/kick combos on the MT CD by throwing a kick on the SAME side after every 2-3 combos (i.e. 1-front kick, 2-rear kick, etc) ; makes you return to guard faster and thus is more difficult to do well] :icon_chee
