JURASSIC WORLD v.2 (Dragonlord's Review)

I'd also like to add I don't think this was a better movie than the original, but I did enjoy it more.

Also, Pratt is already signed on for sequels, for those of you wondering. The number of sequels is unknown, but he is signed on to do more.

Future sequels

During early conversations on Jurassic World, Spielberg told Trevorrow that he was interested in having several more films made. In April 2014, Trevorrow announced that sequels had been discussed: "We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story."Trevorrow hinted that Pratt and Sy could reprise their roles for the next film, and said he would direct the film if asked.Trevorrow later told Spielberg that he would only focus on directing the film in the series. In May 2015, Trevorrow announced that he would not direct another film in the series: "I would be involved in some way, but not as director." Trevorrow felt that different directors could bring different qualities to future films.

On June 3, 2015, Trevorrow stated that Jurassic World left story possibilities open for the sequel's director that could potentially allow the film to take place in a different location, rather than on an island. Trevorrow hinted that the next film could involve dinosaurs being used by other companies for non-entertainment purposes, possibly in agriculture, medicine, and war: "I really like the idea that this group of geneticists aren't the only people who can make a dinosaur [...] when you think of the differences between Apple and PC – the minute something goes open-source, there are all kinds of entities and interests that may be able to utilise that technology."

On June 8, 2015, Frank Marshall met with Trevorrow and Universal Studios to discuss a Jurassic World sequel. Later that month, Trevorrow said the series is "not always gonna be about a Jurassic Park," saying he felt that future films could explore the idea of dinosaurs and humans co-existing together. That same month, Trevorrow also hinted that the next film may not involve the Jurassic World theme park. Pratt and Simpkins are signed on for future films

Yea had the kissing scene was stupid I didn't like that either. I didn't think the romance was random though they made it clear that they had a thing for each other the minute they got together and they indicated that they had a date at one point.

The kid thing wasn't weird at all. He doesn't say hello and stare. He just stares at hot girls I've seen plenty of people do that. Especially kids who are shy.

My main complaints with this movie.

1. You install small devices in all dinosaurs but after the last one there would be no way those devices wouldn't have some sort of poison/explosive installed. They could have just made the smart trex immune to the poison or something like that.

2. The kids being told to go back and still driving into a gate that says danger stay out. I could understand the small kid doing that but the older one? To dumb.

I think those were my only complaints. Overall the movie was ok but honestly I think I enjoyed the last three movies more. This one just involved to much time showing us the new jurassic world and I wasn't interested in seeing that. The last two movies jumped into the action fairly quickly. I also liked

the way it seemed was that owen had a thing for her at one time and she came around when he was being all heroic and what not.

as for the kids, the scene he does that is before they go into that clear ball ride, the one where the rex attacks them. He says what's going on and just stares at them. The little brother says to him what do you think is going to happen with you staring at them and the girls giggle and get on the ride. Also happened on the train ride where he was just looking back at the girls in the seat behind him.

these are just minor complaints though. there were other issues and the collection of all these minor problems just took me out of the experience.

Should have put in Pratt's contract that he couldn't play a similar character in another movie franchise. I think playing Owen in JP series and new Indiana Jones in that reboot would be too similar.

But I have zero interest in any future JP sequels. Militarized dino's fighting terrorists in the middle east does nothing for me and mentioned is a dinosaur movie - Jurassic Park/World is about the park/island.

I finally saw the movie today. Saw a noon showing of the 3D IMAX version, pretty empty theater and had dead center seats so my viewing experience was at least excellent.

I thought the movie was bad even watching it on a legitimately large IMAX screen. Just really weird pacing, extremely weak plot, boring characters(Pratt wasnt bad).

say hello to girls and then just stare at them for long periods of time. Who the heck does that?

I think the bigger mystery is how that kid managed to wear a hoodie in Central America the entire time.

saw it last night, 7/10. T-Rex heads on the pteradactyls were lame, also tired of the 'talking to loved ones on cell phone in horror situations' trend in hollywood. overall i still enjoyed it

Sounds like a shit movie. Surprised it made so much money but all the retards who went to see fast n the furious are probably the same people

That wasnt it. It was the younger brother going full nerdgasm at the park with his older brother trying to act cool. Cut to the monorail scene and the younger brother breaks down crying their parents getting divorced.

Lol, those were dimorphodons and they were real.

Haven't seen the movie and you already insulted the movie and the viewers.

I haven't watched a single film of Fast and Furious nor any of those car theme movies and I watched Jurassic World on the first day so what does that make me in your opinion?

If you have problem paying a few bucks for any film, and this is not just any film, you should consider your position before insulting viewers.

Lol, those were dimorphodons and they were real.

I was thinking the same thing as the guy you quoted. It seriously looked like pteradactyls with t-rex heads. Everytime they popped up on screen I was thinking "is that supposed to be another hybrid... or just a fucked up pteradactly"

Pretty much. Same people who also come in massive droves for the next transformers, mediocre comic book films, hunger games & whatever other mindless trash is being shown on screen.

When I saw this, I saw nothing but teens, badly raised kids, gangbangers, hicks, and other mindless sheep going apeshit for this piece of shit.

When I saw Ex Machina, there were only 8 people in the room. Shame.

If you have such a bad opinion going into the movie then why do you even bother to watch it? Did your SO or group of friends basically force you to watch it?

It confuses me why people go watch these movies expecting it to be more than a popcorn flick. I mean really now, from the previews and early reviews couldn't you already have figured out it wasn't going to be a "good" movie?

Lol at someone that miserable having a friend or SO.

You're not missing out on anything, I watched the first two, plus a motorcycle movie whose name I can't even remember, and started asking myself WTF was I doing with my life.

Same exact reaction here! lol... I need to step up my dino knowledge game.
