JURASSIC WORLD v.2 (Dragonlord's Review)

The actor that played the kid in Jurassic Park tweeted:

Jesus! Could you imagine if he would've been hired as the lead.

2 somewhat minor complaints:

1. the kids kinda sucked overall, maybe the fault of the writing of their particular storyline, moreso than them.

2. (spoiler) when Bryce uses a flare to lure the T-Rex into the fight, Pratt should have seen her do that, and then said "... Clever girl." That would have been fkn epic.

These kids are a vast improvement over the kids in the first movie. Don't know how anyone can think otherwise without rose-colored glasses.

I thought it was pretty good. Except for one WTF moment with the ending.

SPOILER

They end the movie with most of the dinosaurs roaming free, and a raptor and T-Rex on the loose. Isn't that the entire premise of the first movie? How are they out of danger?

Couldn't stand the little kid. A 10 year old that acts like he's 6. Preferred the kid from the first Jurassic Park.

Rose-colored glasses. There are many lists of the most annoying kids in movies and I don't think I've seen one that doesn't mention the Jurassic Park kids.

these 2 kids in Jurassic World are some of the worst actor kids i've seen on the big screen. The kids from JP are far more likable and better actors.

I liked it, I would give it a 7/10

Judy Greer was my least favorite dinosaur, the sounds she makes is a call to all the dinosaur creatures I think

I feel like it tried to have a deeper message with the corporations and the government implications, but overall we just wanted to see dinosaurs wreck everything

LOL no. They aren't even close to being as bad. Your nostalgia is blinding you.

They're ranked the worst in two of these lists.

Don't know man, that teenage girl was really good at hyperventilating.

Strong chance you grew up with only brothers and experienced what was seen in this film. For its clear to most that the kids from the original were better written and acted.

You know you're literally the only one that has said this, right?

7.75/10

One of the best parts for me was when they take the hamster ball into the jungle

Sound like a :eek::eek::eek: fest in here bunch of dudes arguing about which kids were better. Yeesh.

kids in both movies were dreadful. there thats been said

still, ive never wanted to choke the life out of kids like I had this time, holy shit

someone said the PA dieing was terrifying? I was pissing my self laughing the entire time. Reminded me of Starship Troopers

So I just saw it... and it was a LOT better than it thought it would be. I really thought it would be shittier than JP 2 and 3.

I thought these kids were more sophisticated than the kids in JP, but every surviving character in JP had an arc to grow in and they did that by contributing to each other's character growth. I don't think there was any character arcs in JW except maybe Aunt Claire spent more time with them that day than she expected. Arcs aren't necessarily mandatory, but they do add a satisfying element to most scripts.

The only two times I hated the kids was when they repaired a decades-old vehicle and when they went off-roading in the hamster ball, both times only doing so because the story needed them to. That's just lazy writing.

JP was the superior movie. JW was silly as fucking shit, but it played it seriously, with great dramatic actors and they really elevated the material to the point where I was drawn in and taking it seriously, even though if I was reading the script I'd be shaking my head in disbelief.

I also wish they filmed the T-Rex rescue differently. I wish they just would have shown her leave them as the I-Rex attacks. They're scrambling back as it reaches them, they're at death's door, then they see a red flare bobbing across the darkness towards them. Then we hear a roar we haven't heard for two decades...

I rate it a 7/10 just because it tricked me into thinking it was dramatic. If it had lesser actors than D'Onofrio, Howard and Pratt I'd be giving it a 5.

No need, man. You convinced everyone at "check out these subjective lists from comedy websites."

What's subjective are your rose-colored glasses. I just pulled those from google in one minute. Could easily pull 10 more like them.
