ER bound

That Tues night I felt ear starting to hurt like it had water in it around 8 pm. By midnight it was completely full and starting to throb really bad. I paced the house trying everything on the internet to get it to release pressure. Felt every heartbeat pounding in head from 1am-6am. Almost brought to tears because it was getting worse. I could not sit or lay down. Drove to ER delirious from no sleep. Confirmed it was completely filled with fluid and nothing they could do to relieve it. Please pay $250 and start on 10 day antibiotics . Gave me some pain pills to go away.

Took one of them and tried to sleep. Best I could get would be 30 min dozing off until the pounding took over. About 4pm Wed I hear this extremely loud ... sound, as loud as you can imagine. And immediately this pink liquid comes out of ear. Something busted and it's been draining since. The pressure let off, but the super high pitch nonstop ringing is still going strong 24/7 . Been sleeping an hour on before waking up and dozing off again.
Holy shit dude, this sounds terrible.

It occurred to me that I had never experienced an ear ache after childhood. There is no way that's what keeps babies awake at night and parents hollering Go To Sleep! There is no sleeping, there was no functioning.

Sounds like you might have perforated your eardrum? I had that when I was a teenager and a load of gunk just started pouring out my ear.
Hoping the recovery was quick enough, not sure what you have to do about it. Have appointment with ENT Thurs evening. I can't take the nonstop ringing and echoing anymore. I can tune it out in noisy rooms but a quiet place it's all you can focus on.

It's still encouraging that it's not permanent and you'd remember if it was super invasive surgery that had you down for weeks. No point in stressing over it, let the Dr dude root around in it tomorrow. Only movement it's affecting seems to be balance, I get dizzy really fast when upside down now. Balance is struggling in handstands. Back to the grind.
