Media Juan Espino believes Romanov took the easy way out: "You took the victory, but it cost you respect"

Wow that knee was even weaker than I remember watching it live.
He barely touched him with the knee.

Yep, there was nothing on it really. It's just seemed like a very light touch.

that wouldn't matter much honestly

anyone who has worn a cup and taken shots it all depends on the angle and where your cup happened to be placed at moment of impact

i've taken huge shots (no homo) straight on without any trouble but a gracing shot and you can pinch your fucking nuts on the edge of the cup

I see. And we all know how sensitive the nerves down there, lol

Win is a win on record. This should start teaching fighters not to break the rules and hurt their opponents illegally. Their mistakes have consequences.

Homeboy took the easy way out... clearly.
Asking the referee what's gonna happen if he can't continue. Making sure his decision would benefit him.

Was completely gassed out. Espino was dominating the round. During the second and third round , he kept grabbing the fence. He knew he wouldn't be able to get up....

Homeboy got frustrated cuz he couldn't throw him around like he does in his other fights.

Lastly, that was a very weak groin shot. Nothing behind it. Most fighters would've continued without stopping.

UFC is bush league. MMA would be better off if the "premier" org was in Chechnya or Indonesia or something. The West just isn't meant for it, only exception would be Brazil but Brazil doesn't seem to give a shit about MMA.

Why is the fighter getting fouled catching all the heat lately? These dummies need to stop breaking the rules, none of it happens without that.

What the hell was the ref looking at? Are they not allowed to view replays to double check?

I dunno why he needed to stand up for the decision. If he was that hurt stay on the fuckin stool.

Moments before, while he was laying there acting like a little toddler who'd hurt his knee, he told the ref, "No, I can not stand."

Sterling revolutionizing combat sports everywhere. Why work hard and fight for real when you can just fake an injury and win via DQ?

We got the ONE championship guy getting stretchered out of the cage, the blue haired triller boxer rolling around on the ground for 10 minutes for a phantom nut shot and this too within a span of a few days.

Lil Touch OH!GG!

Oh good one. I love that song.

He was a better actor than aljo tho. If u didnt see the actual knee youd think he was really hurt lol

Who knows? Maybe Aljo is a competent actor when he hasn't been concussed by an illegal knee.

Absolutely shameful shit. The knee looks slow and weak, even at full speed, and it was one of those shots thrown just to show activity. “I can’t straighten my leg”? it doesn’t even look like it hits the cup. Romanov was shook and gassing. The new meta of 2021 is not calf kicks, it’s faking for a DQ. The sport is turning into a circus due to these clowns.
That’s why guys should throw moves that don’t hit the nuts.

would you be mad at a fighter for
Faking NOT being hurt? No.
Follow the rules and this won’t happen

From this angle it looks like it's missing the groin and hitting the thigh

Looked like he got some cup there as well to me. Maybe not the hardest shot ever but a foul is a foul.
