Media Juan Espino believes Romanov took the easy way out: "You took the victory, but it cost you respect"

Lima is a LHW and not a good one, he even managed to get strangled by Antigulov and Struve smh

Mowry destroyed Teed who finished top 10 UFC HW Daukaus
Fortune destroyed Anyanwu who finished recently top 10 UFC HW Daukaus

You clearly never seen Mowry fight if you think 40 years old Espino would submit him. Mowry has legit BJJ and way better striking than Espino. Espino would be lucky to survive one round against Mowry

You're clueless. I'm not even gonna bother comparing two prelim dudes to Moldavsky
This is how I know you know shit about mma 1st you bring up a 2011 fight then a 2015 fight like they mean anything in 2021, and with 4 guys who had very little experience. Teed legit GTFO. And we all know Daukaus is over ranked because his one win over shop worn Oleinik to being with. And this mma is pathetic.

I guess junior albini is way better than fortune because mma maths says he beat Johnson who beat fortune.

Cry more shill.

Daukaus got KTFO by Anyanwu in 2019.
Fortune KTFO Anyanwu in 2019.

Same year, it was his next fight lol

Wouldn’t he have won even if the fight continued? Juan definitely won the 3rd round to that point. So unless he finished him or 10-8’d him it wouldn’t have mattered really.
Yes Romanov would have won a decision anyway because two judges wrongly gave Romanov the first round, but we didn't know that at the time. And Romanov was starting to gas so he might have gotten finished.

It may have hit the cup but it had very little power behind it. It is very hard to believe he couldn't continue.

Dealt with adversity and came back to win. It wasn’t pretty, but I think there’s a decent chance that Espino turns out to be the Tibau to Romanov’s Khabib — ie. a particularly difficult stylistic match up that even better overall fighters in the division don’t present to him.

Romanov clearly has some ground skills, but this was a major step up in competition and he did not look all that great.

If he gets matched up with a Sergey Spivak or Tom Aspinall I don't see him even being competitive after how he performed against Espino; and those two are the logical next step up in competition.

Time will tell I suppose.

How did the fight go to a decision as if the 3rd round concluded. Is this some new rule. I'm confused. Never seen that happen

with what Aljo got away with, are we really surprised anymore?

It's going to get a lot worse than this.

Translation: My gameplan was to go for him in the 3rd round, that's why I pushed the pace from the beggining.

Translation: Now is moment to be sincere and with that I do not want to take away merit from my opponent (if he has any). I was injured from one arm and that is why I could not perform as I would have liked to, I know how things work outside and you cannot ever let the decision to the judges. I am not apologizing, I think I won the first and thrid round, and when I saw my opponent performance (or act, not sure what he refers here) I felt embarrassed for him. He was suposed to destroy me, undefeated, favorite, younger, no one wanted to fight him, but he went away of what it was waiting for him in the 3rd round, I was going to destroy him. I did my best, and thats the only thing that makes me feel better. Thank you sincerly for all your support.

I was rooting for Romanov but yeah, that was cheap as fuck and major overacting. The fight was pretty good too, back and forth.

Man I dont know how it affected Romanov yeah it looked soft but Espino is a big dude and balls are pretty soft.

But one things sure this Espino guy most definitely isnt taking a high road lmao

Just book the rematch next, it ended is such a weird way and no one was clearly dominating and winning, just book the rematch
