I thought Joe said that in order for him to sign that deal they had to agree not to neuter his show in any way? So what happened?

Not sure but he is definitely more censored than he used to be before spotify. Maybe something to do with sponsors. Even the guests seem more censored because when luis"the Puerto rican snake"garcia and big jay oakerson went on an episode they seemed to be holding back.

Shit has been going downhill for the last 8+ years and really hit rock bottom with Rogan going all in on MAGA. I remember when he had scientists on to debate the efficacy of vaccines, and one of the doctors said what Rogan was doing was incredible work by promoting vaccines to eliminate diseases. Now, Rogan is on that MAGA dick, and vaccines make us retarded and can't be trusted. Like Bill Burr taking the Saudi money and trying to spin it with some bullshit after saying billionaires are bad for the last 20 years. I think Fallon Fox was the real turning point. I saw where he just started to hate transgender people, and then the COVID shit storm. It's crazy to get older and watch your heroes fall. They are just proving their opinions and platforms can be bought; people like that can't be trusted, in my opinion.

Joe didn't get neutered. Joe got lazy and let the show get very political, which pissed off half of his potential listening base. The saying was never "go woke go broke". The saying in business was "When you mix business and politics, you are left with just politics." Joe probably had the ability to right the ship and people probably advised him but going political is the easiest way to get followers initially but you can't scale out of politics. A right wing political businessman is never going to ever get left wing clients after getting overly political. Vice versa is true as well.

Far beyond its moment in the sun. Joe got all rich and connected. Now it’s either a circlejerk for where he is politically, him still talking about how scary wild animals are with weird impressions of them, or he’s trying to make another one of his half-talented friends famous.

I haven't watched in a couple years, but to me the decline started when he stopped the LIVE episodes and started catering to his super rich friends. The only way he could ever get Elon, Kanye, Trump, and others on there, was to not be live so they could heavily edit and agree to not talk about certain things.

He turned into Joe "Money Moicano" Rogan, and sold out to the elites that are raping this world and humanity, so it makes sense how fewer people are watching him. Most people under 25 years old either hate Rogan or have no idea who he is, and a lot of his older crowd moved on when he changed all of his views and opinions for money and plays. It's almost like he realized the majority of the billionaires are arrogant nepo baby Republicans, so he changed all of his views to become friends with them and profit off of it.

He's also just not an interesting person anymore, the last time I regularly watched his show, EVERY podcast would turn into a criticism of COVID, or California, or "the left", like he isn't a shill that sold out for money. He's a loser manlet.
