Hardly anyone in boxing is affected by Saudi money st the moment, other than the HWs
I don’t think they care about the US or any market. Non of this is about making profitable events as far as I can see
Yeah its more of a global marketing campaign. The only objective I think they have in the west or with North America is to make themselves a sanitized version of Vegas & to turn many American sports stars and sports fans into friendly palletable brand embassadors with a tourism hub that has the most extravagant sports spectacles on earth. They've only just started to really burn through money in boxing. I don't see them getting tired of it. Not with the ridiculous budget they have. It's far more than all of the major players' budgets combined. North America isn't the market that they're looking to target with this event. Neither headliner is from there. One is British and the other is a native African/French-Cameroonian.
They don't care about making money.
Its sports washing & marketing.
No different than ancient Rome. No different than America.
Give the people and the world distractions that create revenue and entertainment for the citizens. It passifies the masses. Then you can govern & rule with less scrutiny and pushback.
That Prince is something else. He has major plans & wants a place in world history empire status.
