I doesn't make a lot of sense, I mean Max is still a big step above him right now.
I know Emmett has a lot of hype around him for that KO, but he did lose his previous two prior to that(arguably three depending on how you scored the Kattar fight).

Looking at the rankings tho, Max doesn't have a lot of option so maybe this works if they both wanna fight sooner then later.

I would pick Holloway to decision Emmett...

I'm probably in the minority, but I think Holloway's hand-speed and movement would be too much for Emmett, and I feel Holloway can probably eat that right hand and survive, based on some of the shots he's eaten in the past.

Holloway should win fairly easily but I could see him getting flatlined with all the damage he's taken in his career.

Max would need to be desperate to fight that's low level for him.

And max wins every round.

I think Max beats him up rather easily. Josh has a lot of power but he is a short basic puncher. I believe Max can win a comfortable 5 round decision.

I've said it in the other thread, Holloway isn't the most sensible opponent for Emmett, but Emmett might be the most sensible opponent for Holloway.

It probably should have been Sterling, but since that's not happening, Max's only options are sit out, lightweights, or rematches

That was a very traumatizing win. He needs to recover by beating someone and not ending up with manslaughter charges.

Imagining get charged for manslaughter doing your job. He needs a recovery fight, preferably a lay n pray snooze fest

If somebody can crack Holloway is Emmett but Max is still far more skilled however he tends to eat shots in most of his fights and thats a bad idea against a guy like Emmett.

If Max fights smart he should dominate Emmett but Emmett's power would still be threat all the fight.

Seems a good fight to me and made a lot of sense considering their rankings.
