I would pick Holloway to decision Emmett...

I'm probably in the minority, but I think Holloway's hand-speed and movement would be too much for Emmett, and I feel Holloway can probably eat that right hand and survive, based on some of the shots he's eaten in the past.

the fact that he's eaten shots like that in the past is the bad part though. his chin WILL crack it's a matter of when.


If max can fight his way to a title shot once more, without getting KO'd..... I'd retire after that title fight win or lose.

Holloway should win fairly easily but I could see him getting flatlined with all the damage he's taken in his career.

If anyone could do it, it's Emmett with the punching power. However I still think Max is too skilled and would probably win by corner stoppage or decision.

Max should out strike fairly comfortably. Interesting since Emmet hits hard and Max could hurt his hands hammering on Emmets noggin. Depends if Max has no one else preferable. Promotable with the recent highlight.

Holloway should win but he relies on his chin more than most and Emmet is probably the hardest p4p puncher in MMA.

I mean for Max there isn't that many options unless he moves up in weight. If he remains at this weight class he has to basically hope that Volk losses the belt.. otherwise he might be the highest level gatekeeper the UFC has ever seen.
Personally, I think he needs to leave the division and roll the dice at a higher weight class. If he stays, then sure this is a fun matchup and that's likely most we are going to get from Max going forward... fun matchups.

For Emmet, this is the fastest way to get back to a title shot. He is getting old so no time to wait.
