Jon's legacy is already aging poorly

is that really how you weirdos think? any time someone doesn’t agree or is opposite of your opinion when it comes to MMA or UFC/Dana related topics you folks automatically think they’re some UFC employee going undercover? fucken hell, not everyone on here has lost their cognitive ability due to emotional stress because of someone name Jon Jones or Dana White
yes, it is a very frequent argument when you go against the status quo on here.

Not a boxing guy but isn’t Canelo fighting the number one P4P guy from the weight above? That’s hardly the same as Jon avoiding to fight Aspinall.

You guys can’t be this stupid. And I don’t throw that word around lightly. But that’s what you’re displaying here. You make a mockery of the forum leaving shit in everyone’s ears after hearing your opinions.
You new fans has been making a mockery of this forums for the last 5 years with your constant whining and crying. You weirdos can’t even enjoy a night of fights with crying and complaining.

Huh? PFL & Ngannou recently showed the UFC is not one.

The ppv Ngannou headlined for PFL did 10k buys. The PFL is on life support financially.

Like I said in the other thread, the UFC could slop together a ppv headlined by Casy O'Neill vs Tracey Cortez for the Women's BMF belt and blow past 10k buys.

It’s not the UFC’s fault that these “promoters” are incompetent, i know everyone loves to blame the UFC. Look at Scott Coker, every UFC hater loves to suck his dick, dude failed a kickboxing org & 2 MMA orgs, he has put more people of work and is not in the regionals probably finding a way to mess that up also.

The PFL selling about 8,000 PPVs on $12+ million in salary and bonuses would show that the PFL can compete with the UFC if the PPV sales were for a good chunk more than $1,500 each. Please look up the PPV price for me so we can confirm that you're right.

he should just retire. it would be best for his legacy to be honest.

I’m trying to figure out how anybody says he has any legit “legacy”, at all?

He has not won a single UFC fight. Without a huge asterisk beside it.

Ooooooooh amazing.

Meanwhile everyone who matters knows that he's a duck and a fraud.

Jon is just a sniveling attention whore about now. Crying out for attention in a futile attempt to maintain public relevancy.

If we focus on MMA and skip all the bullshit from JJ on the side:

Fought dirty in his first title defense and had Rampage wondering what the ref was up to, taking away focus from his opponent's gameplan

Fought his wrestler-boxer mentor in Rashad Evans and cut all ties with him, showed no respect etc,

Lost to Gus according to the vast majority

And later Jones came up with the lamest of excuses "I fought at 80%" which fans dismissed and soon demanded Gus to be on the new UFC game cover

View attachment 1099733

Fought dirty against Glover because people now doubted him as the true champ, early on he tried to sneak in eye pokes to get an advantage,

In the rematch with Gus he went straight for a low blow which Gus said affected his whole leg, hitting the nerves of the groin. And after that wrestled as soon as he could,

Had to cheat against Anthony Smith, who was too earnest to take the DQ win after an insane illegal knee from a frustrated Jones,

Had a split decision with Thiago Santos, where a majority saw Santos as the winner. Close fight but of course JJ got the nod as per usual,

Lost to Dominick Reyes according to the vast majority

View attachment 1099737

Later said "Dominick, don't ever question me or the judges. Look at your own heart and endurance, what seperates us two...",

Took three whole years to feel secure enough for an eventual HW fight, and who knows what he did in this long lead-up,

Demanded to fight a retired and current firefighter to get himself a title defense at HW, instead of proving himself against the current elite of the division

Let the tears flow

@Only Here for Attachments already admitted to it so I guess in this case I’m absolutely right

Of course it is.

If Jon didn’t humiliate himself and instead fought Tom awhile ago and lost, it wouldn’t have done a fraction of the amount of damage to his legacy as this has. He will be laughed at forever. This is far worse than tapping to strikes or a fluke loss. This is flat out against everything the sport is about and about what being a man or a warrior is about. Pathetic. Then again he is à woman beater so

What? LOL

Fighting Tom and losing would have been way worse than not talking this fight.

People like you would still trash Jones if he fought Tom and beat him, so really at the end of the day, your opinion is your opinion but you get so worked up of Jones in your posts it's hilarious lol.

I don’t think so at all. It would have been a win win for Jon - either he gets his biggest W ever over a young g and dangerous opponent in the biggest fight he could make or he loses, we all blame Father Time and the division moves along. Jon is almost 40 and not a natural HW, I think he lost a lot more by doing the sports’ highest profile duck than he would have losing to a bigger, younger fighter in the back nine of his career.

Most of us are just trashing Jon for being a coward. We don’t think he sucks or anything, just that he’s a coward and an embarrassment to the sport. He’s shitting all over his legacy and ending his career in an extremely embarrassing way. I’m also annoyed because I would like to see if the GOAT fight IQ ever is enough to overcome every physical advantage. It’s an intriguing matchup, even at his age.

Most people want him to take the fight because they want to see him lose, more than see Tom win.

With that said, if he beats Tom, those same haters that wanted him to lose will continue to trash him, they will still bring up steroids and his outside the cage antics like the hit and run or the wife incident.

So no I don’t think him fighting Tom and losing is better than not fighting Tom at all, if he loses to Tom the little haters will be 10times worse saying he was never the goat and all that junk.

Its actually lose lose for Jones not a win win IMO

It would be a big win, for sure. But saying that it would be his biggest win ever is simply revisionism. I.e. the Cormier win was bigger.

Tom is a good fighter. Is he a great fighter? We don't know. He hasn't got a single win against someone considered better than "good".

Now, I'm not blind to the fact that Jones is in part to blame for that by not giving Tom the opportunity to fight someone great, aka Jones himself.

But let's not get carried away: Tom would in no way be Jones' biggest win. That's a fiction that has been build by mostly Jones haters cuz they want Jones to look as badly as possible.

I wasn't assessing "blame", just pointing out that no, there really isn’t any meaningful competition for the UFC.

I disagree. I think Jon beating a young killer who tore through the division like it was nothing would be a massive statement. Hes 38, outsized and up a division. That would mean more than beating DC to me plus MMA is very what have you done lately. He would be an underdog in that fight for the first time ever since he won a belt.
