Jones unlikely to take Gane down and hold him there. Jones doesn't have Ngannou strength.

His luck is finally gonna run out this time and I can't wait. I wonder how he's gonna react to his loss. Fkn sociopath prob gonna lose it lmao
If he loses he’ll give an altruistic speech about how he wanted to challenge himself, something something God, apologize to the fans how he let them down, and give Gane his props. If he does lose, it’ll be anti-climatic.

He's gonna lose it, listen to this

All these predictions that Jones will take Gane down, hold him down, and either TKO or submit Gane there are moronic. No way Jones takes Gane down for more than a split second (if at all), and when they are standing Gane is gonna light Jones up. Jones has no where near Ngannou strength to hold Gane down.

Opinions?

Discuss.

Biggest issue here you are thinking LHW Jones. His clearly planning to come in near the limit. Part of me won't be surprised if Jones weighs in heavier than Gane.

Jones doesn't have the frame to be a heavyweight. He is extremely ectomorphic. Jones is at an unnatural weight for his extremely ectomorphic frame and it's going to show during the fight when he's slow, awkward, gasses easily, and doesn't have much power. He should have retired as a light heavyweight. What happened to Adesanya at light heavyweight is what will happen to Jones at heavyweight. Jones will get manhandled in the heavyweight division.

Jones is going to embarrass himself.

The writing is on the wall.

Comparing to Izzy is silly. Izzy didn't bulk up at all.

I thought that after the Reyes fight, but this is a completely different Jon, and he might even be stronger than Francis now, at least in wrestling movements. 3 years is a hell of a long time to build strength, and Jon was always very strong to begin with. I also don't know how seriously he was training for Reyes and the other fights at 205, but he looks dialed in for this heavyweight fight. He looks big and thick, I think his strength will show

He's wrestling with people in his weight class. He isn't fighting bigger/stronger wrestlers from higher weight classes. How does that compare to Jones fighting Gane? It's nothing alike. Don't mistake height for size and strength.
Lee is an undersized 125er that cuts less weight than his opponents. Come match time, they are bigger than him.

Also, if your argument is that he is wrestling people in his weight class, aren't Jones and Game in the same weight class? After all, they will both be heavyweights during weigh-in and come fight night.

Lol what? Jones weighs 255lbs and Ngannou weighs like 257...
Lol wot. Jones said he makes 205 relatively easily. Moving up will limit his cardio and speed. 20lb of fat is good right. .....

So you are saying that Jones is losing 8 pounds to move up to heavyweight? Don’t drink and comment.
Put down the crack pipe bud. Jones fights at 205 and says he makes weight easily. So i guess moving up will grant him extra strength plus maintaining speed and endurance. Pass me that pipe son.

It is not Ngannous strength, it is lack of basic wrestling skill by Gane. Strength alone doesn't do much for you, those boys didn't know what to do on the floor, especially Gane. In that case, strength can be enough.

It’s almost as if you didn’t even understand what you wrote. Nobody is that stupid are they?
You are the moron that said Jones would weigh 60 lbs less than Ngannou does. That puts him at 197. I don’t expect a moron like you to be able to figure that out but I also didn’t expect someone as stupid as you to be able to make comments in the internet so maybe you will surprise me again.

You're making things up son to suit your low iq narrative. I never said any of that you simpleton. But keep trying.

This fight has too many unknowns about Jones for me to be confident in picking a clear path to victory for either fighter. If Jones is able to get Gane on the ground or up against the cage and bully him, then he's clearly going to give any HW a tough fight. Seems more likely he will try to fight a dirty point fighting style and eventually get caught by HW power.

Maybe he is more focused now than back then, but I'll never forget the first Gus fight. Even a drained lhw Cormier gave a fully juiced Jones trouble.
Jones key is to push the pace. He's going to have to eat some shots in this one, no way around it. If he stands back and tries to fight the way he has his last few before his sabbatical he will get leg kick TKOd. Gane is going to try to take away Jon's movement right off the bat because his entire camp knows that he is done if Jon gets a hold of him.

Jones is a lot bigger for this fight. Some is muscle but quite a lot appears to be fat. Jones will need to push the pace. Question is, will his extra mass hinder his endurance. Usada pretty much beat jones as evidenced by his last 3 performances. If he's not pulsing he gets easily decisioned imo.

People have been saying that Jones is going to get knocked out, dominated, etc. for like 15 years. We will see.

in order to knock Jones out Gane has to be fully confident that he can stop all of the take downs. I don’t expect this.

He looked like dogshit vs Santos with a blown knee (I still had Jones winning that one) and then vs Reyes (where Jones was gifted the win). The last time was saw dominant Jones was 5 years ago vs Gus.

We can acknowledge how great Jones was and also understand that those days may very well be long gone.

Counterpoint: Ngannou doesn’t have 1/10 of Jones’ wrestling experience or skill. If Ngannou can hold him down, Jones should be able to do anything he wants.
Wrestling is a physical thing that's why all wrestlers use steroids, so being what it is the bigger stronger guy (Ciryl in this case) usually has the upper hand or very least can hold off the smaller guy.

These are scientific facts.

Jones is a dramatically better wrestler than Ngannou.
This could be a very boring 5 rounder with lots of circling, OR it could end up with D1 Jones.

The last thing I'd predict is an action fight tbh. I expect a stinker, and I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

Ngannou is like 60lb bigger than Jones. lmao

OK sister. You know the internet is forever right? Maybe just take the L next time instead of making yourself further look like a moron (as if that were possible.

its called muscle to fat ratio
sometimes u need fat
more muscles the more fuel u needed .will make u gas quicker
dont you even know this basic thing?
