Jones only offered 12mil guaranteed?

I'm not trusting Chael on anything. If Chael says the sky is blue, I'm gonna have to walk outside to verify that for myself. He just makes stuff up to see what people will buy into and spread around for his own financial benefit. If I took the time I could probably give you 1000 examples of Chael being wrong.
Oh, ok, so no bet?

1M at the VERY most. He couldn't sell a million during his most heated rivalry back when people still bought ppv.
It's really weird Jones doesn't sell very much PPV. Especially when he was destroying guys at LHW.

Still, apparently Gane/Jones did almost 1M PPV sales and the highest card in 12 months.

Apparently the Jones/Stipe fight had bigger gate numbers than UFC 300

this says PPV was 600k

So I guess he draws better at HW than he did at LHW, especially since people are wondering if he'll lose before he retires.

Chael Sonnen reveals $12 million offer

The former UFC contender-turned-analyst leaked Jon Jones’ potential fight purse on Wednesday.

Sonnen claims the American asked for a $12 million guarantee, which the UFC is happy to give him.

‘The Bad Guy’ says that will see Jones outearn a bunch of the biggest stars in MMA history.

“I don’t believe Jon Jones has turned down this fight,” Sonnen insisted in a video shared to his YouTube channel.

“Whatever that number was, and I believe to be $12 million, in case you’re interested. Got my own sources.

Yeah, if that's true it's not going to be enough compensation for the ills that are certain to befall Mr. Jones inside the Octagon. I'm sure he asked for a lot more than that. Fight's off for certain
Only?

maybe 12M + PPV split. But really thinking about it, how much could the fight really sell? I'm thinking maybe 1M-1.5M at most.

The way the ppv split is structured is shit as well.

Ok bro, you had your chance to take out an og '13 because "Chael is never right"...except maybe about Jones not fighting
Did I say somewhere Jon was going to take the fight or something? I'm leaning 70/30 that he's not going too in my personal opinion. I just don't take anything Chael says seriously, just like pretty much everybody else paying attention and who has paid attention to what Chael said in the past. Regardless, a broken clock is right twice a day.

Ok well you said I should be banned or wastelanded for this thread so I thought I'd give you the chance to do it yourself. All good

Bro, everybody around here knows Chael is full of shit. I was saying everybody who posts a thread based on what Chael is saying should be banned. I'm not targeting you here specifically or anything. I wasn't being super serious about that either by the way.

He turned down Ngannou fight and took $6M for Gane though. Then he turned down Pavlovich and Aspinall and took $6M for retired Miocic. So $12M would be his biggest pay day ever. It's not the money. It's the opponent.

12 million is massive & almost unheard of for a single fight... even if you account for PPV take. Conor vs. Khabib might had pulled it off, but that's the best selling PPV of all time by far.

If you want teh boxing money that only a very select few boxerz "CLAIM" to make, who are at the very top... then go to boxing. Otherwise, you are in a sport that payz less to even teh elite select few.

This is really a good deal for Jon. $12 mil plus backroom deals to get punched 1 time and he probably won't even feel it

Damn, that's a pretty sweet deal to fight Arlovski or rematch with Gane and Miocic.

1M-1.5M would be one of the biggest fights of all time

the exposure for Aspinall alone, whether he wins or loses would be vital for the UFC. They have no one else who can even sniff 1M+ buys right now.
