Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier was a robbery

I thought it was a way closer fight than people pretend it to be. How was DHC vs Cub close but JJ vs DC as a blowout? The reason is because there was such high stakes, those that took Jones side hated DC (and vice versa) and bragging rights were at stake. Also, the whole fight was very close except the fourth round, and the fact Jon took DC was seen as a massive swing in perception as it was Daniel's strength. But honestly, if that fight didn't have such high stakes and someone asked 'who lost', the universal answer would have been "the fans". It really was the MayPac of MMA, so highly anticipated but a complete ZZZzzz-fest.

Rewatched the fight and came to see if anyone had the same opinion. DC won easy. Watch in slow mo with out commentary. I don't think he knew he won because he is used to dominate. Round 1-2 DC clearly outstruck him most of the shots Jon threw didn't land except a few knees. Round 3 dc post eye poke. Round 4 Jon. Round 5 DC or draw (That big slam is the only thing that happened in that round if you are counting the first round td for Jon surely you should count this) Like I said before dc had it for sure. It'ss just the mma fight IQ is unfortunately still very low

DC himself said he thought he lost the fight after watching it.

I thought Jon won 50-42.

A lot of fighters that are used to dominating think they lose when its a back &forth and close even if they edged because they are not used to that feeling they think they did worse than they actually did. Happens countless of times. Watch in slowmo really focus on the connection of the shots .What lands and what doesn't. Lots of airballs from jon. And Jon got hit way too much in the first 3 rounds. 5th round dc or draw

I'll have to rewatch, thought I scored it Jones 4-1 or 3-2 at the time.

I thought it was 3-2 to Jones every time and I’m a dc fanboy.

it was closer than most act but it was clear jones won.

And please watch without commentary. And don't count count kicks/punches that land on forearm even the flashy ones. Clean shots

I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who watched the fight that DC won the first 3 rounds. Cormier even looked better on his feet the whole match. The rounds that Jon Jones won he won less convincingly than Cormier. Without a doubt DC works on his grappling and destroys Jones in all 5 round's in the rematch, if he doesn't submit him first.

Lol, i am not a Jones fan but to say he didn't win that fight is fucking ridonkulous.

I’ve watched that fight like ten times and never once did I feel like it was close. I’m a huge Jones nut hugger though.

Jones won so easily DC ended up
Sobbing afterwards.

I seem to remember DC having absolutely nothing for Jones in that fight. The second fight was a bit more competitive...until it was not.
