The best 2 fight thread got me thinking: why is Jon Jones' schedule so damn crazy? He has fought Belfort, Machida, Rashad, Rampage, and Shogun in five fights. That's fucking nuts.

It seems like he is the only champion that has had such a badass record of opponents so close together. Is that just because LHW is so stacked? Or Does Dana hate him or something? Silva and GSP have never had such a crazy string of fights.

I guess he's getting a break with Chael though eh?

Thats impressive but Jones has been on cruise control on those fights.

Wait till jones fights Machida x2, Gustafson. Texiera and Cormier comes down to LHW.

Thats a schedule.

Hendo as a very tough schedule as well:

Machida
Shogun
Fedor
Feijao
Babalu
Shields
Bisping
Franklin
Palhares
Anderson
Rampage
Wanderlei
Belfort

All in a row

I don't see any of those guys giving Jones trouble.

Jones and Bendo have been hella active taking on and crushing all the top comp in their respected divisions. Jones def has the more murder's row schedule though.

Big names but some of them are pretty bad now. The only real challenges Jones had were Rashad, whose ass he kicked easily, and Machida. No disrespect to the others but Rampage and Shogun are way past competing with a guy like JJ. Belfort tried his best but he isn't anywhere near title fight material.

And then he's fighting Chael Sonnen, lol.

That's like going from a streak of eating at 5-star restaurants, to eating at..................Whataburger, and only being able to order off of the Amurica! value menu.

No one will give this man the respect he deserves because he effortlessly crushes fan favorite legends.

Well, that was all after his devastating loss to Hamill. Jones was afraid to rematch Hamill, he didn't want another loss on his record....

No, really, even though these guys aren't world beaters, it is still impressive the way he quickly finished Hamill, Vera (not easy, just ask Shogun), Bader and Vlady before he tooled those top fighters.

He did all of this in very impressive fashion too, finishing all but Rashad. There is absolutely no question that this is the greatest streak of wins ever (given the period of time it was in).

Rua
Rampage
Machida
Rashad
Vitor
Sonnen

Jones schedule has been insane also

Yeah I think Jones is his own worst enemy. He crushes dudes and the people just say "well he wasn't that good anyway." I think the problem is that Jones is that good and until he fights cormier or somebody in heavyweight people are going to keep saying his opponents were washed up or whatever.

As far as having big, recognizable names on your record goes there aren't many out there that can compete with Jones at this point in time

Yes Hendo had the beast of all beasts schedules, He fought everyone.
