Jon Jones makes 5 million + a fight

He probably leaves with 1.5 million though, they tax the hell outta that 5 million, plus he pays for training camp he pays his manager, agent, his trainers, sparring partners.

Its no joke.

I remember Shane Mosley saying his 20 million payday which was the highest total with ppv, he only went home with 7.5 million
He likely keeps more than 30%...

Jon ducked no one he fought everyone

Ok, I agree with you that he has taken on all legitimate challengers.

What I meant was that it seems from the outside that the UFC was making a reasonable offer and he came out the gate with a crazy number out pricing himself. All this after he was the one calling for the fight. Seems like he only wants the fight under unrealistically exorbitant amounts of pay. So why complain so much about it when they don't give him that? Should've just said "We couldn't come to terms" and stay silent, this just comes off like he wasn't hungry for the fight in the first place.

I honestly can’t stand him, and I was one of his supporters for a long time. This is it for me.

I’m still going to buy his fights in the hopes that he’s flatlined.

5M was exactly what I thought, and that he would probably accept the Francis fight for 10-15.

These statements are tripping over one another fast. Also why the fuck is Jon tweeting? Do an interview and give your side of the story...unless you dont want certain questions asked and narratives put into question.

Agree with Jon here it's just that the timing is bad with the whole covid situation. He should definitely be paid twice as much of whatever he's making in LHW. That's reasonable. Hell, the UFC paid Brock fuckin Lesnar a fortune for one-and-done roidfiesta just to keep the hw div entertaining.

About what I thought

Same amount GSP made during his prime per fight

Khabib probably makes 10mil and Conor 25

Yeah this looks about right. Jones obviously is seeing all these other guys get paid more than him. I can see why hes upset and wants more but he needs to be realistic about all the self sabotage that hurt his brand and earnings. He has no one to blame but himself for not making as much.

Or the PPV points or very high or something doesn't add up. 500k was his disclosed pay in his last fight

Over for sure.. Now I am going against Jones Shockingly. 5 Mil per fight is a lot of money.. He fought 3 times in 13 months when he came back. That's 15 plus mil in fight purses..

Is that over or under what you thought?

to put this into perspective:

EZN3Wi0XkAE8PDf

Basically admitting he could've made 10million+ and still ducked the fight.

Pro-tip: Shut the fuck up for a couple days about the whole issue and talk to your manager, then put out a statement. Goddamnit Jon {<jordan}

How is he admitting that he could've made 10 million + when his tweet said he admits he made 5 million + in previous fights?

I was under the impression hes making about 8 million for big fights such as DC and 2-3 for fights where nobody (general public) really knows his opponent.

Must get a good slice of ppv.
His base pay is 500k
Not bad but seeing as he is arguably the goat, I think he has a point it should be higher.
