The fact that someone makes a lot of money relative to the average person, doesn't mean that they're being compensated fairly.

A promoter like the UFC only paying out 15% of revenues to the guys whose name values are driving the sport is screwing them.

Boxers like Lomachenko and Crawford get paid what Jones does per fight to appear on ESPN+.


This is why Dana bringing up Wilder is so ridiculous. Jones is a MUCH better proven PPV draw than Wilder, yet Wilder has made double in his last three fights than Jones will for the duration of his career.

50k in PPV points? Have you seen fighters with PPV points contract? Eddie Alvarez got $2.5 for every PPV sold when sales went over 600k (which Jones has done several times) and a minimum of $1 if it was under 400k. You are delusional if you think Jones doesn't get way more PPV points that Eddie. Jones likely gets 3-5 dollars a PPV like GSP, Anderson and Brock did

Jon Jones could of been one of the most popular athletes in modern sports.
Jon is 20-0 in the UFC, he has 14 title fight wins. That's more than Khabib has UFC fights.
It's the long list of fuck ups, failed drug tests and time off that are to blame.
Not a lot of companies want to be associated with such behaviour.
He missed out on a lot of sponsors and other opportunities, Jon could've made a fortune outside the octagon.
Instead, he barely reached mainstream media and consequently gets paid somewhere around 5 million a fight.
In a universe where Jon reached his full potential, if such thing could exist, he is worth WAY more than 5 million a fight.

Same amount GSP made during his prime per fight

Khabib probably makes 10mil and Conor 25

Actually thats wrong about GSP since most of Jones 5m is from PPV % and GSP got the same pay thresholds but consistently sold more PPVs than Jones, GSP was making like 8-12m a fight where Jones is like 5-8m. (With the Rashad and Cormier fights being examples of bigger paydays for Jon). GSP also made a FUCKLOAD from sponsors, cleared 7 figures annually for years.
