Paying seems not a problem for him. And regardless of how irresponsible the guy is. This son is probably going to make him behave well. Someone looking up to him, will have to be a model for this boy.

He already has kids. If that didn't make him behave, this kid probably won't either.

I do think that is a factor for why she is a worse parent, because she might not be able to provide adequately for her child, or at least tthat might have been the argument.

But money doesn't buy you out of court that easily. Rich men are the target of many a gold digger, whom the court will happily have them pay an exorbitant amount of child and/or spousal alimony.

Though money can easily buy you better legal representation, which can help a lot obviously. I do suspect Jon has a good lawyer.

But still, there is so much material in the public that a decent laywer could use to paint Jon as a terrible dad.

Also, maybe he lucked out with the judge that handled his case.
