For real
  • Fought washed-up LHWs he had a significant size advantage on
  • Debated he lost to the first LHW that was his own size (Gus)
  • Lost to Reyes and arguably even Santos
It is no mystery he is too scared to fight at HW and ran away from the UFC after the Reyes fight. Too scared to fight at HW his whole career when he had the size for it because the Gus fight exposed that he cut weight for the size advantage, would have gotten eaten alive at HW.

The most overrated MMA fighter of all time.

He’s sort of underrated because of shit like this. He’s a genuinely disgusting person and a cheater, I won’t debate that, but in a sport historically littered with PEDs, he’s still visibly the best fighter we’ve seen to date. Especially when he was young. Depending on who you ask, he could be #1 or disqualified altogether, and neither is wrong. Ultimately, he only has himself to blame for tarnishing his legacy.

He has good wins, but the thing is he would have probably ran up 6 or 8 losses without the steroids. It's really hard to compare someone who's steroided to the gills vs clean opponents. For instance, if he ever fought DC clean that's a sure loss.

If he did, then so did every single other good fighter in history. You can easily discredit anyone's legacy with a few blanket statement talking points if you want to, it's not hard. It's dumb and pointless, but not hard.

Very poor thread, TS. But as I'm blitzed and exhausted...
You also forgot Thiago Santos was a 170er at a point. And then Chael, shale. And MW viTRT. And all his blatant eye poking without ever having a point deducted. And Machida who came in at 198 and 202 for LHW bouts. Then dropped to MW.
Then again, you could've given this more thought. Sod off.
