The cartridge is much more like a rifle cartridge. That's a substantial shoulder and taper. Even though it's a small projectile. Fun sheit happens when you're moving fast enough.A FN Herstal 5.7 is chambered in 0.224 caliber but it is very high muzzle velocity for a small caliber handgun.
That is a slightly unusual weapon & uncommon ammo and damaging rounds due to v high muzzle velocity.
If I had to have a small caliber handgun I'd probably take a Herstal 5.7:

Quite expensive compared to a Glock, but really nicely made and terrific looking weapon IMO.
