absolutely, and anchorage has a ridiculous crime rate, I was shocked when I saw that but they have terrible stats. It's still somewhat of a frontier mentality up there, it's atypical of the "lower 48.

that's one theory as far as the wierdness that goes on, the other is that Alaska is a haven for many people running from the low in other places, so, lots of criminals.
