It takes less than 2 seconds to find Google results showing Jon's HW debut was planned for March 2023 long before Francis ever left the UFC.

Jon's return was planned for March 2023 long before Francis left and he instead had to fight Gane for the vacant title. People have complete revisionist history about what happened not even a year ago because they just want to run with the narrative that Jon was scared of Francis despite him literally agreeing to fight Francis and everybody else put in front of him for his HW debut.

You guys are being purposefully daft at this point. Francis is outgunned on the feet against Fury and outgunned in the grappling against Jon. The difference is Fury has to strike with Francis and can't do anything about avoiding that, thereby leading to the much greater likelihood Francis actually lands his power shot.

There's nothing Fury can do to avoid actually striking with Ngannou like Jon can when Jon has the option to just not strike with Francis at all by taking him down. Francis' nuclear option disappears on the ground. It doesn't disappear in boxing.
