None of you are actually dumb enough to entertain this, right?
All of Jones' interactions with the law so far involve drugs and mostly alcohol. Alcohol, like meth, heroine, etc. etc. damage your prefrontal cortex (the big frontal lobe of your brain), and make the amygdala, something the size of a grape, impacts your decision making much more. Your actions become based off of anger, jealousy, fear, etc. rather than your logical areas of the brain.
You may get some "roid rage" while actively using but that's because your testosterone is off the charts.
Whatever Jones' under lying mental health issues, potential head trauma and alcohol are his problem(s). He needs something implanted in his body that makes him violently ill whenever alcohol enters his system.
I don't see many people blaming those things as if to say "it's not their fault." You do have to be responsible for the things you do. There are some things that deserve a measured response to fully commit for second chance, and maybe even third. But Jones has burnt those candles at both ends. Depending on the details of this case, he may get the strictest outside of jail punishment with a warning that one more fuck up is a year in county or real time in a real prison.
