I remember it differently.

I remember it as GSP's team asked for a list of what will be tested for. Therefore, what won't be tested.

GSP's team wanted to call the shots as to what would be tested an what organization was doing the testing. This was the cruz of a Kevin Iole article during the lead up to the fight.

FWIW, I was cheering for Hendricks, but GSP won three rounds to two

I get what he is saying.

GSP made a career of taking guys down that were over extending their punches.

Heck, his set up for his double leg takedown is to wait for guys to throw a haymaker.

Hendricks openly discussed this during his lead up to the fight. He said he was going to dial back his power punches to ensure the fight stays on the feet.

Nahhhh, GSP was busy winning the MW title on the same card Hendricks got whooped by Costa. UFC 217.

Hendricks was too fucking arrogant in the fight with GSP. And I don’t see how his corner didn’t tell him after 4.. It’s probably 2-2 right now. Win this round.

It was not even close to that. It was a close fight where Hendricks did more visible damage.
 
I think even if Hendricks won, GSP would still be remembered more highly today.

Not even close. Huge Machida fan, but I don’t remember him winning a single round. At least GSP won the 5th convincingly.
 
Big rigg should've told dana to pipe down else he will knock him dead with 10 percent of his power

Hendricks went into that last round like he already won the fight. It's like he actually didn't care about the round at all, just wanted to survive to the end. GSP went out there to win it. It's one of the strangest things. Like even if you think you were up 3-1 for sure, who is fine with getting dominated in the final round to win a belt....brutal mentality. On that alone, glad he didn't win it.
 
Hendricks did win the belt, but had a massive fall from grace with zero successful WW title defenses and a long series of bad losses. I loved how he got knocked down and KO’d by Wonderboy in R1 and was making excuses about it being awkward because Wonderboy wouldn’t engage. Odd statement, since WB was able to land big shots and Hendricks managed to drop to the canvas.

Robbery and a bad decision are two different things. Not saying this was either, but many here don't know the difference. A robbery is where one fighter dominates the whole fight (or close to it) and the other gets the decision (the term came from boxing). Whether you think this was a bad decision or not, the fight was close enough to not be a robbery. Johnny did more damage during the rounds he won, but that doesn't matter unless you go to Pride scoring. The only think in dispute was round 1, and it was no runaway. GSP won rounds 3 and 5.

Dana Whites tone and reaction tells you how much he expected Hendricks to beat him. Pretty sickening how he wants his own champs to fall too. If he does not like you, the willingness to see you crumble is very high with Dana. Dana is cold blooded towards his fighters even though they have big names, Dana is like, I run this not you...you do what I want and if you do, then you make me happy, but if not I come after you...thanks for doing Business with me for I am the most unprofessional boss you will ever meet ....just Imagine how he is behind closed doors....Mobster thug type boss.
 
Honestly gave to Hendricks at the time. Thought everything he did was more effective. He gassed out and lost the last 2 rounds, but thought he won 1-3. That said "you have to beat the champ to be the champ", so a close round like round 1 you could swing to GSP because of his dominance. Kind of like how Jones gets decisions, you don't score a close fight against one of the goats.
