Media Johny Hendricks *** MEGA Lightweight ***

GSP and Hendricks agreed to VADA testing. GSP even offered to pay for it. Hendricks backed out.

Why wouldn't GSP ask what drugs they test for? USADA tells them.

Quit trying to change history, buddy boy, it won't work. GSP insisted on VADA, and it wasn't agreed upon. The UFC decided NSAC enhanced testing was the best way to go, and GSP backed out.

He thwarted NSAC enhanced testing prior to the fight and retired immediately before it was implemented.

It was agreed on and NSAC testing wasn’t Olympic level. He wanted better. Why is the UFC not doing NSAC now if it was so good.

Better than Olympic level, eh? You're just going to keep trying to rewrite history for your boy? He doesn't know you exist, fella.

If NSAC testing was good then why isn’t the UFC using USADA.

Your posts don't make sense. The UFC is using USADA. They used NSAC enhanced testing prior to that. All irrelevant. Your boy dodged the testing and retired right before it was permanently implemented. Nothing you attempt to write can change that, or excuse it, friend.

No, they never used NSAC. Again, if NSAC was so good why aren't they using it now.

No, GSP wanted Olympic level testing like the UFC is doing now. They are only doing it because of GSP. How is 2 years later right before? GSP retired in 2013. UFC started testing in 2015.

They implemented NSAC enhanced testing the very next month, fella: December 28th 2013. It was permanently implemented in April of 2014 - just 5 months after GSP vs Hendricks.

The NSAC enhanced testing was using one of the only WADA accredited labs (at that time) in Salt Lake City. It was Olympic level testing. They don't use NSAC enhanced testing now because it only covers one state and one commission, genius. They don't only hold shows in Nevada. They were using it back then for Vegas events.

Goddamn, dude. You're a bit dumb for a computer guy. Google the shit and try to use some common sense every now and then.

You are either a liar or a moron. They did extra drug testing for Josh Barnett, because of his 3 failed tests at UFC 168. It wasn't a UFC policy.
VADA is what GSP wanted to do that the UFC and Hendricks refused.

Lets google.

NSAC documents show that “enhanced drug testing” program used in some UFC bouts lacks key tests

Leaving off the CIR testing undercuts the NSAC’s ability to say that their enhanced testing is on the level of VADA, who have always stressed CIR testing as a basic strength of their testing routine, and USADA who has also made it clear that they embrace CIR testing as a part of their standard testing protocol.

The enhanced testing program for the NSAC is lacking what VADA and USADA can bring to the table with that one test alone.

They used it for Barnett vs Browne, yes, on December 28th 2013. Less than 4 months later, it was implemented for all main events in Vegas. Both boxing and MMA. It wasn't UFC policy, it was NSAC. Fertitta added: "The UFC fully supports the efforts by the NSAC."

They used the CIR test:

"The program utilizes both urine and blood tests and includes Carbon Isotope Ratio testing."

Try harder. You're not as slick as GSP, and will not thwart me as he thwarted those tests. Shucks.

Funny because I can find many articles saying they didn't. I stand behind you are either a moron or a liar.

You have comprehension issues, kidd-o.

  • The article you linked is an ESPN article that says USADA doesn't use the CIR test on every sample.
  • It doesn't mention NSAC enhanced testing.
  • The article I linked is an ESPN article that says NSAC enhanced testing uses CIR tests and gives dates for the testing implementation.
  • We are using the same source.
  • You can't comprehend or apply it to this conversation.
  • I can.
All is irrelevant. GSP dodged the tests before the fight and retired right before it became implemented into UFC testing. No amount of the 5 d's will ever change that. It's documented history, buddy boy.

I think it's fair also to note his knees were proper fucked. How many times did he have ACL surgery? 5 or more? How much rehab can one person take before not wanting to do that shit anymore? That was one of the things that delayed his return to fighting.
When GSP first came back off the ACL tear and fought Condit, I was in denial over him NOT being in his prime anymore. I thought he was just rusty. But when I saw him struggling to get TD's against Nick Diaz I knew his peak was over and done with. Prime GSP would have exploded through Diaz and rag dolled him whenever he wanted. GSP post the ACL tear was fighting more with his brain and skill and less with his amazing athleticism.

I didn't link any article. I posted parts of different articles. No, fact is GSP wanted VADA, which is Olympic level testing. In fact he took the VADA test. Hendricks refused to take it. The UFC only did USADA 3 years later, because GSP made them look bad.

You seem like a teenager who is making excuses for their hero. You absolutely linked an article. The text is red. Your attempts at arguing are very weak. Your math is even worse. Maybe ask a parent for help?

Silva fought at 168 before the UFC. The Rumble on the Rock Tournament where he was DQ'd against Okami was a 175lb tournament, mere months before he entered the UFC. At any point in time Silva could have accepted the catchweight but knew he'd get 50-45'd.
Dana and GSP's versions of why it didn't happen line up, GSP wanted to stay at 170, bulking up for 185 would permanently affect his ability to go down to his natural division, so he offered a catchweight of 175. Notice that Dana says specifically "Anderson could have gone down to 170 to fight him, they could have come up with a catchweight" as in, the idea of a catchweight was in the air, I'm assuming Anderson either wanted 180 at minimum or was outright refusing a catchweight.

UFC for some reason had an issue with outside testing I wonder why. They also wanted GSP to take that superfight on his current contract lmao.
When Anderson is asked directly if he wanted GSP to come up to 185, he completely avoids the question and obfuscates, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the language barrier, even though I really shouldn't, and it leads credence to my theory that he outright refused a catchweight of any kind.

In short, you are wrong, Anderson wanted the fight only at 185 or bust, probably knew that if he cut weight again he'd get demolished, or perhaps his losses at that weight class still haunted him, only Anderson knows.

It was Soares, Silva's agent, the only part who offered a catchweight (at 177lbs to be more precise). GSP never did. This is easy to check in the internet.
Dana White confirms it was GSP who refused the match,
Silva never lost at WW as you say.
Holly shit you are all over the place. Textbook blind fanboy.

1. Soares' words in an interview are worth as much as Ali or any other manager's words in an interview lmao. No contract was put forth, literally just hypemanning by management, if you hang on every word of one from the managerial class in any field, you are not an intelligent person. In addition, the first and only time he mentioned it was that single interview in 2012 when GSP was coming off of a 19 month layoff to face Condit.
Dana White confirms it was GSP who refused the match
2. Dana confirmed GSP refused to move up to 185. One is not equal to the other. Like with #1, taking the Goof at his word is a brave strategy, but nonetheless, here are Dana's exact words: "“Silva could have gone down [to welterweight] to fight Georges St-Pierre, they could have come up with a catchweight…GSP didn’t want to move up [to middleweight] to fight Silva,” Dana White added."
Silva never lost at WW as you say.
3. DQ'd against Okami during a Welterweight Tournament (at 175). Lost to Ryo Chonan when Chonan came in at 176 vs Silvas 183. Lost to Takase in PRIDE's Welterweight division, but that's semantics as they were both 183. Yes, he has in fact, lost at welterweight and to welterweights.
