I don't know what's the deal with Hendricks threads, so if anyone can explain...

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not big on Hendricks as I didn't like his reaction after the GSP loss, he acted as if it was a huge nonsense from the judges when it's definitely a close decision with both men hving 2 round each for sure and only the quite uneventful first round to decide. Then there's the usada stuff with Hendricks looking like a shell of himsef, or should I say, looking like himself without what made him look like more than a shell. I'm harsh but hey, so many threads for one guy, I felt I needed to balance things out a little;

I wachted 3 times the year it happened had Johnny smoking gsp dude beat the breaks off him made gsp retire too everyone knows it and pretty sure johnny was on the juice anyhow but maybe gsp was too

Damnnnn!!, all the Johnny threads got merged and sent to the lightweight forum lol it was fun for the few days.

He will never be the goat in my eyes
- lost the hendricks match in most ppl's eyes, and ran away from the rematch
- tapped to strikes, sorry you cannot be a goat and Tap to strikes, Jones, Fedor, Aldo, adensaya, would NEVER tap to strikes.
- Strategically chose the WEAKEST MW champion to get the champiomship belt and bolted when he was slated to fight Whittaker or Romero.
These actions cannot be rewarded with being a GOAT

I dont give a fuck

But damage has always been the #1 criteria sir.
But rounds have always been scored individually under UFC rules. In an election, if three people of one party each win their seats by 1000 votes and two people on the other party win by a margin of 2000 votes, the group of three is still going to have the majority, right?

One of the things that I guess bothered people about GSP and his career is that he was determined not to take tremendous amounts of damage. He was determined to retire at a relatively young age for a fighter and leave with his health fully intact. Sure he could’ve taken rematch after rematch and put his body through hell as he aged and his skills continued to decline. But he was too smart, and frankly wealthy to do that. He made the right decision since he routinely pops up as top three on everyone’s greatest of all time list.
I think it's fair also to note his knees were proper fucked. How many times did he have ACL surgery? 5 or more? How much rehab can one person take before not wanting to do that shit anymore? That was one of the things that delayed his return to fighting.

Brother, this shit has been beaten to death for almost a decade now. GSP wanted VADA, Hendricks wanted USADA. The compromise was NSAC enhanced testing, that the UFC was about to implement, and the UFC decided that was the way to go. GSP's team asked a shitload of suspicious questions, then said they couldn't be reached for 10+ days. He never participated in the enhanced testing, and retired right before it was permanently implemented.

All I said was that GSP ended up doing the same testing Hendricks did on top of VADA testing for the fight.

You're not wrong, but I felt like Johnny won 3 rounds tbh Mr Capp.

I get where you're coming from, but it was the wild west back then. I was banned for posting ass floss for fucks sake, lol. I prefer to card and hope they just clean their shit up.
Wild West days were fun though. I'm surprised I made it through. I used to post threads challenging people to fights. Just Bleed. HAH

It's nice to grow up with sherdog. This has definitely become a much cooler place. Hope it's around forever

GSP didn't participate in the NSAC enhanced testing prior to the Hendricks fight. His team asked a bunch of alarming questions and ultimately did not go through with it. The first fight to have it implemented was on December 28th 2013 - about 6 weeks after GSP retired - and Jon Jones requested the same testing in April of 2014. I guess asking for testing means you're definitely clean, huh? Especially if you don't even do it.

Weird.

GSP and Hendricks agreed to VADA testing. GSP even offered to pay for it. Hendricks backed out.

Why wouldn't GSP ask what drugs they test for? USADA tells them.
