Media Johny Hendricks *** MEGA Lightweight ***

Essentially everyone agrees on rounds 2-4, so the fight really came down to round 1. I just went back re-watched the first round, and I think it was a close round that could have reasonably been scored for either guy. But the commentary was WILDLY biased in favor of Hendricks. Rogan was out of control in that fight, for whatever reason.
It was one of the most egregious instances of Rogan being wildly biased during the commentating. He doesn't acknowledge things GSP does several times during the fight and wildly exaggerates the things Hendricks did.

I scored it 3-2 GSP from what I remember, Hendricks definitely won his rounds more convincingly and did the damage. It was a close fight, no doubt.
Yup I remember thinking Henricks won the "fight" but GSP won the rounds.

Johnny tapped to guillotine

This fight is the most overated robbery of all time. At the time, I gave it to Johnny. After watching it over the years I watched it and gave gsp 3 rounds. No doubt Johnny did more damage. I just think bc gsp was so unstoppable, people expected way more from him. Either way no robbery.
And watching sucks because of the controversy, it doesn't get the credit for how high level mma we got to see in that fight.

Yeah, it was pretty over the top. Makes me wonder if the UFC knew GSP was walking away and instructed Rogan to give Hendricks a little extra love. Personally, I'm not a big fan of GSP or Hendricks, so I'm pretty objective about that fight. Round 1 was close, regardless of Rogan's shenanigans.

It was close , it all came down to the first round that was razor thin . If I remember correctly Hendrix won 2&4 and in the process smacked George around so it definitely felt at the time like he was winning, but they were still 10-9 rounds .
Also I went to a Jiujitsu seminar with his coach Mark Laimon like 20 years ago and he was outstanding.
Man prime Hendrix was a monster, too bad his athletic peak didn’t last very long

Johny obviously had some karmic debt to repay for his performance in MMA. I can't speculate and risk moderation, but, we all probably have an idea of why Johny owed the universe that loss and his losses after...and his physique change....a huge karmic debt.....YUGE

GSP didn’t win the first round and I think that is what swung the fight. It’s a robbery. But it’s kinda funny because it happened to Hendricks.

3 and 5 GSP, and 4 Hendricks. 1 and 2 are both tough for me to score. Just rewatched them twice and can’t decide. I initially scored 1 for Hendricks, but was undecided after the second watch.
