The argument you make is about as sound as "he was reaching for a gun" for the police in a lot of cases where they open fire on a target immediately.

Which is ironic considering that Schilling is supposed to be this big activist against police brutality. I suppose we all know what he would do if somebody gave him a gun and a badge, with that kind of temper and self-control.

The guy pushed his chin out to make Schilling flinch, it was hardly what you could call an "attack". Not enough of a one to justify dropping the guy like a sack of shit. You could argue the little guy was justified in making that move since Schilling walked right into him. It doesn't help that Schilling himself has basically admitted that he was just looking for the opportunity since he believed that the guy was acting obnoxious.

Like I said, this is not a MMA fight. If you want to fight people outside of combat sports, you can't just start blasting. The other guy has to be a clear aggressor if you want to get away with it. An insult for an insult, a push for a push, and a punch for a punch.

If the guy had been injured, Joe would be screwed right now, legally. But fortunately for him and the other guy, it seems like there was no serious damage done.

None of those things matter. Hypotheticals are stupid. Quit trying to change the conversation. The guy tried to intimidate Joe and scare him, and he got punched in the face.

The problem isn't the drunk guy running into people and then getting aggressive when they get pushed away.


The problem is the guy that reacts to someone acting aggressive.



Escalation of force, he ran into Joe, Joe moved him. He shouted at Joe, Joe turned around, hands relaxed at his side, the guy lunged at Joe, Joe punched him in the face.



Stop defending drunk retards who pretend to be tough at the bar.

of course it matters. again, at some point, there is no threat, and it's not self defense. it's just aggression.

Im just not surprised, and self defense cases have huge grey areas that alot of people dont understand...

Turning around to face someone face to face after they yell Hey! With ur hand open isnt aggressive its responding .. Had joe turned and hand clinched fists and just threw blows from there thats assault...but he turned the guy did a punching/ whats up lung thing ( tough guy move) and was essentially egging on an altercation and got one...

Joe doesnt have to wait to be hit to respond ...

Ofcourse he didnt have to throw a combo either..

But again being mean isnt against the law

I love concerts, music festivals, college and pro sporting events. I've bumped into a million people, sometimes I've gotten a nudge back like "hey watch it" and a simple "Oh shit my bad man" with a smile ALWAYS ends it. There is no "HAi! <{cum@me}>" there are no punches. The drunk guy thought he was tough and found out he was not. If you bump into someone, simply say "sorry" in a friendly manner and you wont end up on youtube unconscious.
