It looked like the dude he punches was being a drunk jack ass and making a scene. He got in Joe's path and he moved him out of the way (didn't seem aggressively or anything.) Then it looks like the drunk dude says something, Joe turns around and the drunk dude talks shit then does one of the head things to make him flinch. Joe could have just walked away, he didn't seem threatened but decides to two piece him and knock him out. Schilling always seemed like an asshole to me tbh so it's no surprise that he did this. The more amazing this is that he is trying to claim he was being assaulted. Without even knowing what happened it's clear he was in the wrong.

The sad part is Masvidal and other fighters/strikers are siding with him. Schilling always came off as a POS to me. Maybe he was tired of getting finished by trained fighters and wanted to get one back.

The first thing I thought when I saw the video was that Joe was looking for an excuse to throw down. Just the way he walks over, all wound up and tense. As someone who worked as a bouncer in a club for a little while in my younger days, that really stood out to me.
