Joe Schilling Assault pre meditated??

As a pro, seems more entertainment wouldve been to toy with the guy, then choke him out. schilling was looking for a confrontation obviously.

Someone was probably recording a drunk fool at the bar...

Little did "the drunk fool" know that Angry Joe was walking back after being rejected a hand job by another gentleman inside the bathroom and took his anger out on the goofy bastard.

Poor guy... <WellThere>
<escalate99>

If joe was lying...and hes just some maniac going around hitting people and wasnt taking care of a obnoxious drunk that he claims was trying to attack him and acted in self defense then why ...

A) joe stop hitting him.after the one shot...someone out of control with anger doesnt simply stop at one punch

B)If joe was clearly the one in the wrong and aggressor why didnt he run after dropping the guy in a business establishment ..he must know assault isnt allowed in bars or anywhere and the bar itself could get sued or viewed as liable by the guy who was "assaulted" so why didnt they detain him?

C) why wasnt joe arrested or detained on the spot by security ...or police. . litterally nobody did any reaction towards joe...normally in these situations someone grabs someone to separate them or hold them so they be taken by security or police or atleast some kind of outburst of WTF man... Why did u hit him...here nothing...its almost as if everyone was like welp ..yap...saw that coming..

So im incline to kinda believe Joe story and reasoning here...not that he made the best decision possible but that theres some points to his story that can be backed up

The guy he hit seemed to be being a absolutely out of control obnoxious drunk who instead of apologizing for being in someones way decided to call out someone for it and gestured for a punch or lure some sort physical altercation with threat of violence and got just that..

Just because the end result didnt play out for the drunk guy as he planned doesnt mean he wasnt threatening or creating a violent situation ...threatening legally doesnt have to mean youve created fear it just means you are creating a scenario for harm to potentially be created for example if someone says to you "IMMA FUCKING KILL YOU, YOU WATCH" ...whether your scared or not you can have them arrested for issuing death threats...its still considered a threat...

That said I think joe , welcomes conflict and is probably not the best guy to be dealing with drunks and alot of other trained guys likely wouldnt do this ( myself included) ...he chose to react to the threat with force ...he could get introuble for it..he needs learn to chill more , it may even help his fight career if he does too being so tightly wrapped up cant be good for the long term..

A mature guy would have just kept walking. However, Joe seems to like to beat up civilians and is a thug and a punk.

However, if this video is real and the dude actually got hit, he did instigate it.

You are really stretching now...leaning forward and thrusting your chest out t another person is not threatening another person with violence and it doesn't entitle the other guy to knock u out.

Did you notice that nobody was bothered by the drunk in the clip except schilling? The waiter was completely unflustered by him. There was even a woman who horsed around and laughed with him just before the assault and who was unconcernedly sitting right next to him and who ran to his help immediately dter he was laid out..

Are you as a bar patron going to dare to confront the muscular violent giant (relative to the other peopple onnthe clip) with tattoos all over him, wearing a shirt glorifying fighting and who had just knocked someone out for doing just that?????? Schilling doesn't need your idol worship- he needs help as in counselling and anger management courses and be punished undet the law for what he did.

What does puffing your chest or macho feigning a punch mean??

Is it a means of escalation or de- escalation

Ask yourself that and then tell me the dude wasnt inviting a violent conflict..

You cant go around in peoples faces screaming and egging on violence and then play the victim if it happens..

Joe should of had more control...and probably should of avoided intervening on such an obnoxious guest but that doesnt make it all his fault just cuz he was the victor

If a person raised his voice at another that's escalation. It doesn't entitle the other guy to punch him.

If the other guy then starts pointing his finger and talking sarcastically at the first guy the first guy cannot hit him for it though he has escalated it.

If the first guy then starts screaming and leaning forward and puttng his face right into the other guys face it is yet again escalation but the other guy still doesn't get the right to punch him.

Escalation doesn't mean nuts until it crossea the line into in actual assault or threatened assault that truly puts the fear of immediate injury or worse in rhe other guy.

You dont have to hit or hurt to claim self defense..

The threat or scenario of a violent outcome is enough...

In your line of thinking , someone would have to be stabbed before defending themselves agaisnt a knife...thats simply not true..the presentation of the knife makes it a self defense situation...just like inciting a fight is a presentation of violence...if you went to someone ur arguing with and threw a punch from too far away ...that wouldnt land ...r u claiming you didnt just try to fight someone cuz that strike couldnt harm someone??

What your saying isnt consistent with the law..

Why wasnt joe detained by security whos job is it to handle this? Why werent the police called?...why did no1 even react in a negative light towards joe? ..not 1 person was outraged? But u r

7 billion people in this world and old Joe had to take on this guy.

I guess that made him decide to go after lower hanging fruit in a bar.

I was figuring it was his friends I just didn't know. Their reaction was if they knew it was going to happen. There wasn't any "holy shit" response or anything as you would expect. You can hear one of his friends casually say "And he's knocked out" like they knew that what was going to take place. Now they have the footage they wanted so Joe can post it and make some waves on the internet. I think in Joe's mind he thought he was in the clear since the drunk guy made some type of movement but I didn't see anything to justify that level of a response from Shilling. He aint the brightest bulb to post that shit.
How do you know it was one of his friends that said that? Might have been Joe’s friend who was recording it.

I have no way to know for sure but the way I read the situation based on the video: This guy was being a drunk ass and pissed off Schilling. Probably over the course of a sustained time period. Schilling, probably in a drunk angry mood, decided he wanted to lay the guy out and "wouldn't it be awesome if we filmed it."

So he went to the bathroom, had his buddy running his camera, purposely pushed/bumped into dude on his way back, then laid him out after dude predictably talked shit after being pushed. A low level moment for a pro fighter. This guy was doing no harm other than being an annoyance. He looked like a chunce but whether you're a trained fighter or not (much worse if you are) you need to have the maturity to not let idiots like that bug you that much. 99.8% of fighters just walk away from that guy shaking their head and forgot him 30 seconds later. It shows there's something amiss in Joe's head that he did what he did.

Wow we needed another thread to go with the 100 Page other thread.. well done

Just curious on how there's such good footage/angle for this bar knockout? Did Joe post the original? therefore recording it himself and premedtating the assault? video just seems to well and Joes a piece of shiit for his coward punch, you'd think someone as decorated as him would have a more reasonable head on his shoulders..

nah it looks like a random bystander was recording a drunk guy goofing off.

I do agree that Shilling was the unnecessary hot head in that situation. Bisping is a class act. Shilling has an unnecessary chip on his shoulder.

like dude, you’re a proven fight veteran against pro fighters. No need to go knocking out drunk civilians.

i still find it hilarious that he called it a life threatening situation.

i doubt that’s what happened. You would be a terrible prosecutor.

Thought the same!

Dude, for sure it was setup/known with perfect camera angle.

Prob went down like, dude did something stupid, Joe did not like, had friend aim camera at drunk dude, Joe circles whole bar to come up from behind knowing dude would do something if they bumped, proceeded to land a premeditated combo on his drunk ass. Shameful of Joe.

Probably, Schilling posted that the guy was being a dick and saying racist shit all night.

Firstly the drunk didn't throw any punch whether from too far away or at all. He didn't threaten any violence. There was nothing to merit self defence. All the drunk did was posture up to look more macho and have words with schilling. Nothing to deserve being physically attacked.

Next the clip doesn't show if there was any security in the bar. Further would u as the security mess with a pro kickboxer who has just ko a patron? U Could be next. We recall how Alistair overeem once took on a few bouncers in a bar.

Also the clip doesn't show the end as it ended. The bar could have asked him nicely to leave. The other patrons could have started screaming or getting upset. The clip ended before that would have registered. We did see the woman who had who had friendly with the drunk rush to his side immediately after schilling ko him. That shows that she was worried for him.
