I never understood why they exaggerated tall Pro Wrestlers

Like Hogan clearly isn't a legit 6'8" but he's not short....why lie? Especially when he has multiple matches w/ other touted, taller people like Andre, Sid, Kevin Nash, etc....

This is the main problem

Insecure manlets are inflating their numbers by claiming 5'8 when they are 5'1, which leads to 6'1 people feeling inadequate and starting to claim 6'5

Pro Wrestlers are supposed to be larger than life characters, both physically and personality-wise. It makes things more exciting for the fans.

Undertaker is much more intimidating when he's introduced as 7' instead of 6'6"

Fair enough, it's just odd when you have Hogan touted at 6'8" fighting SId at 6'7" yet Sid is clearly taller

Or say Undertaker and Kane or Diesal/Nash, or later Big Show. IIRC they were all listed as 7', but they aren't all the same height

Sounds about right I hear you lose and inch and half by your 50s especially if you hard train and have injuries plus posture.

Evander was measured at 6 foot 2 in his prime, I cant find the video but he was around late 20s early 30s they were measuring him before a fight it was a prizefight countdown on some news station.

Mike Tyson was measured at 5 foot 11 with shoes on, whats funny is Tyson admits he is only 5 foot 10 and half but they rounded up. Makes it even more impressive how he was able to hang with these giants and knock them out being that short.

Yeah all those guys were already tall but the goal is to make them larger than life so they added a few inches its how they sold the show before TV when they traveled to local cities to pitch pro wrestling.

Pro wrestling is like the circus it started from the old days before national TV or the black and white era when they traveled to cities and spoke of mythical figures, guys who were already tall they made them even taller.

Braun Strowman is a legit 6'8 which is his billed height I believe, here he is staring down 6'9 Tyson Fury from yesterday

I think The Rock was billed as 6 foot 5, it was clear he was around 6 foot 2,

John Cena is one of the few honest wrestlers, he kinda kills it for the other guys with exaggerated heights though, because Cena is a legit 6 foot, he could have easily played along and said 6 foot 4 or something because he is not far off in height compared to the guys who list themselves as 6 foot 3 or 4.

Here is John Cena who is 6 foot flat on his bio with 6 foot 3 Brock Lesnar, the only thing I can think is maybe Cena down plays his height on purpose and pretend to be shorter, and is actually 6'2 but likes claiming he is shorter so people say man you are taller in person than I expected

Thats crazy are you one hundred percent sure it was evander also sometimes when you stand next to people you think you are the same height but when you look in a mirror or take a pic you are actually two inches shorter.

He was barefoot in the valuev weigh in or in socks.

100%. I went to the gate agent and asked if that was Evander and the guy said, "yup". I was shocked at how short he was.
