Law Joe Rogan attempts to distance himself from the Republican party- Calls the Trump Inauguration Bizarre!

He's a kook and those people exist in both sides of the aisle. Used to be worse on the Dem side if anything. For example anti-vax beliefs used to be primarily seen in Democrat leaning organic obsessives like RFK Jr rather than on the conservative right

We've seen a realignment of kooks from mostly on the Dem side to now being mainly on the GOP side with the MAGA take over.
More the horseshoe idea. The far ends of the camps are much closer than they ever want to believe.

Nah he had a few things he always gets passionate about then spazzes out and argues like a child. One of those things off the top of my head is weed.
Yeah, weed. I'll give you that. He's a drug addict passionately defending his drug of choice. It's hilarious how he rails on and on about weed not being addictive or having negative effects. Brother, you started smoking in your 30s, after millions were already in the bank. He champions himself as some quasi-professional in cannabis when he's only ever known the Hollywood version of it. I personally feel that's why he places Joey Diaz on such a pedestal, he's the only dyed in the blue lifer of the game he knows. Feels it gives him legitimate bonafides into that "culture".

Remember that's not new, way back in the early days of the podcast he believed in moon landing conspiracies but in the early to mid 2010s he started to become more mainstream and thus started to evolve his image. At one point IIRC he had Neil DeGrasse Tyson on to debunk the moonlanding conspiracy and turned the page on it and he was even increasingly critical of Bravo in this time.

The pandemic and post 2020 Trumpism melted his brain and he reverted back to conspiracy Joe.

A similar thing happened to Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is mostly a center left liberal, but is into conspiracies and skepticism of standard healthcare.

He gets that way when he’s defending fighters too.

The weed made him retarded I think. I remember one podcast I listened to he said people who smoke a lot of weed are annoying. Then in the same podcast he said he smokes a lot of weed.

As a doctor I can tell you there’s plenty to be skeptical of in standard healthcare

He'll never shake the fence sitting allegations lol. Let's not pretend he was ever some intellectual heavyweight. This isn't coming from some Joe hating dem loving guy either. I still listen to Joe when the guest calls for it. It is what it is.

I don’t think he’s any smarter than an average American, but I’m with you. I’ll listen to his podcast if he has someone on I’m interested in. I enjoy his format where they just shoot the shit for hours. He’s definitely somewhat of a hypocrite depending on who his guest is.

The greatest thing to come of JRE the last few years is Gillis becoming a regular. Just sucks it resulted in a good half of the Philly comedy scene moving to Austin.

Anyone whose followed Joe Rogan knows he dramatically changes his tune every few years.

Normally the "I'm not Left or Right types" are just fascists but in Rogans case I kinda do believe him. Hes a very confused person because hes a podcaster doing hours of content with all sorts of guests.

Imagine someone having an independent view and not completely aligning with two opposite parties who both have some reasonably extreme views on certain topics.

Joe has gone on record saying he has voted for Libertarian candidates before. He is more likely to vote for a Bernie Sanders than Trump. Democrats lost due to going so far left and putting up quality candidates like Biden and Harris and running on "If you elect me I will finally do my job this term, I promise". Throw in some last second pre emptive pardons and now Trump can effectively do whatever he wants this term and point to Biden doing the same thing.

He was embarrassing himself on national tv 13 years ago, endorsing neo-confederate old coots.

He's just a Republican who is more open about doing drugs and being fascinated by black dicks.

Ron Paul looks like a giant next to this manlet.
