If you don't want this in the Dump source and timestamp your claim.

Ive added the video. I didn’t time stamp because I’m retarded, a senior citizen, lazy, or it’s a holiday and I don’t feel like listening to the whole damn thing again to find the point when he said it. You decide.
I don’t think anyone who listened to it will dispute the premise of what I said and anyone else who is interested might as well listen to bit if they are so inclined and I apologies for my inability make it easier for you.
Anyways although I mentioned some particular parts of the conversation the overall direction I was hoping to address is how beloved bro dude culture icon Joe Rogan has been changing his show from The Man Show meets Fear Factor to The Alex Jones Ted Nugent Happy Hour. I could see myself linking other episodes in the future.

Now sir if you would please return my thread to the War Room I will try to do a better job with my threads in the future.

Okay, looks like the segment you're mentioning is probably discussed somewhere between these two points:
1:49:59 Discussing regulation of social media and deplatforming (long discussion)
2:30:15 David asks who Joe will vote for (Joe: "...maybe I´ll be more inclined to vote for [Biden], based on his vice-president choice")

I’ll get to that in a minute but first,
Im a fan of the podcast. I enjoy the long format discussion nature of the show. Joe is a good conversationalist and I can listen for hours without getting bored. I like that the ads are at the front and not interrupting the conversation. But...
I do not share his politics and his recent emphasis on sharing his political opinions does not add to my enjoyment of the show. I think Joe is best when he is neutral on political matters. I think of him as a mix of Larry King and an Oprah for men.

Anyways I was listening today and Pac-Man says something along the lines “ so you want to socialize Twitter ?” and Joe says yes. This guy wants to give the government the authority to decide which speech is allowable on the internet. He is literally out of his mind! Also some anti vax shit he heard from Alex Jones.

Sorry I didn't add the video timestamped but my technical computer skills are pretty close to maxed out every time I don’t put the mouse in my mouth.

I think his point is that it would be more impartial than it is now.

Twitter is not a port of free speech a lot of people have been banned for expressing views the Twitter staff don't approve of.

He's not advocating for more censorship.

I thought he said something more along the lines of "information is so important that it should be considered a public utility"?

Fucking Twitter. Hate the stupid thing.

I agree with him we cannot be trusted to think for ourselves

Did you know that DMT is produced in the pineal gland?

also.......... fluoride accumulates in the pineal gland...whyever would they want to interfere with our bodies natural production/use of dmt?

inb4 certain posters claim Rogan and his friends are hacks.....

Why is there another thread being made when one exists that youve been posting in? Guy and most of his guests are total hacks, but sheesh.

damnit

The same people who say the government shouldn't provide UHC because its inefficient, and the same people who hoard guns because they say the government can't be trusted now all think the government should take over all of social media.

What a bizarre world.

I have a hard time believing joe actually said this. Id like to see the video. Censorship goes against joes beliefs and its one of the reasons hes moving off youtube.

Can't even shitpost on a website without getting banned.

Here’s the deal. Social media sites are self regulated. If I make a bad thread the mods can delete it move it ban me or whatever. I might not like it but someone has to make the calls on what’s going to allowed or else you have non stop shit posts ruining the site.
If you ask the government to take over that role you are advocating for government censorship. Once they take over they will never leave. Whoever the current president is will have oversight over what’s said in Twitter, YouTube , Wikipedia,Google, name your favorite porn site.
It’s incredibly short sighted to invite Big Brother to take control of the internet because you disagree with the current methods used by a few top platforms.
I don’t have a problem with people complaining about Twitter. There is nothing stopping people from using other platforms that are less restrictive. In the end the markets will decide which websites people want to use.

So many of these imitation-Libertarians want the federal government to sanction individuals and companies they don't like. Makes no sense

So you don't think there's anything wrong with the big social media platforms censoring certain political viewpoints and using their massive influence to promote others? They're developing a significant amount of power.

I just think there should be more free speech and less censorship.

You're misunderstanding and misstating his position. What Joe and I support is Twitter and similar companies being taxed and regulated as utilities and users having 1st Amendment protections on their platform.

Making money talking to right wing conspiracy theorists while taking steroids and cheating on your wife and pretending Ronda Rousey has great boxing?
Sounds like hell to me.
Tell me more about the alleged cheating...

Honestly, the government wouldn't be half as bad at politicalcensorship as the twitter people. The government is at least bound by the first amendment and can't ban and censor users by claiming "private company, build your own internet".

This was my line of thinking as well. Don't understand why the government needs to take control of something like twitter though barely anyone uses it.
