He should be worry about his Hill fight.
I would prefer competitive over exciting. The Jiri fights were exciting but I don't think he deserves a rematch. I think Ankalaev deserves the shot for the title. Was also not very exciting
Nah.Should the guy who got flat lined twice by the same guy join an actual full gym camp ...yes.
Absolutley Ankalaev deserves the shot. I'm not arguing that. I dont think Jiri should get one so soon. But the Jan vs Poatan one was a bit meh. Def other shit can play out before we have to see that shit again.I would prefer competitive over exciting. The Jiri fights were exciting but I don't think he deserves a rematch. Thanks, one of the few who understood the question. Some ppl took it as "what does Jiri mean by fighting a 3rd time?" question by replying with "because he's not a coward"... I mean, if some ppl did read things with a little more attention, it would be appreciated.I think he meant if he loses to Alex a third time, he's just going to retire. If he can't be the best, his MMA life is done.
Tbh that was also Relax Poatan's first fight in LHW. In his first fight vs Jiri Prochazka, Poatan was having a hard time until he got the quick one two right and left hook and shut Jiri's light almost... Alex improved a lot, considering Jiri expected a tough fight between Poatan and Hill, as well as Aspinall (who comments on a lot of fights) and they both got :0 by how easily Poatan defeated Hill... And then, Prochazka was, admittedly, in a better shape in the second fight, he said so... His body was better, like he said. And he did try to get offensive, to go into the offense a few times, but Poatan quickly stopped those momentums. Firstly, with a jab that seemed like a hook, later on when Jiri tried getting aggressive, Poatan remained calm and connected a solid right hand on Jiri... Defended Jiri's takedown (Jiri could not even get close to dropping Poatan) while in their first fight, with his legs in a worse shape, he got Poatan down in the first round... And when he tried going into the offensive again, Poatan pretty much ended the fight with a left hook that Aspinall called the best hook he has seen in MMA...I would prefer competitive over exciting. I think no one here has ever said that... Maybe you are misinterpreting ppl's posts.Unbelievable, you got guys here saying Ank doesn't deserve it and make every excuse to justify Alex ducking Ank but come back and say they want to watch Alex kill this guy for a 3rd time...
Yeah but he just started 2 years ago and looks fresher each fight.Alex is quickly closing in on 38, and might even go to HW. Jiri just needs to focus on knocking Hill out right now.
If it got stopped in the first round, you'd also think it was a BS stoppage...While I think the stoppage in the first was some bullshit, that second fight was a pure ass whipping. It probably could have got stopped in the first round.
3rd fight he would be 3 times as scared. All kinds of voodoo mind tricks on play.i usually give guys chances even when it looks like they don't got a chance but the way he looked in the 2nd fight was bad. he looked way more scared and tentative to engage than in the 1st fight and he did a lot worse in the 2nd fight. the first fight clearly changed him. he can't be successful if he isn't aggressive and he was too afraid to get aggressive in the 2nd fight.
I'll gladly watch Jiri vs anyone. Dude's always exciting AF. And if he loses for the third time, so beYou got KOed 2 times already wacko. No one wants to see you get killed a 3rd time

I don't necessarily think Jan Blachowicz is better than Jiri or Hill... Only, that Poatan is improving from fight to fight, which is both weird, considering his age, and cool, showing how big of a talent he is... Someone that can improve after 36 yo by dedicating himself a lot... He's a genius in fighting, he got into kickboxing as a 20 yo and as 30 yo or so, he was the only one from Glory to hold belts in two divisions like that simultaneously... And arguably won his last fight vs Arthur, which is backed up by the stats and specifics analysis, though the [arguably] unfair point deduction he got plus the [possible] biased judging took his deserved win... Which makes sense considering he made clear that would be his last fight in Glory, that he'd be going to the UFC. They did not want that but couldn't hold Poatan, they tried, but could not... So they likely pushed Arthur to win for Poatan not to leave Glory as the champion as Arthur/Arthem would still keep fighting on Glory. And Poatan wasn't even THAT dedicated in that part of his career, he admittedly would train a lot but would drink a lot as well...
... So now a fully focused and dedicated Poatan is showing how much potential he has got... The Poatan who fought Adesanya twice is not nearly the same Poatan as the one now. The Poatan who defeated Jan, although it was a tough fight (still won tho), is not the same fighter as current Poatan... He is a monster.
I don't think Poatan is the type to duck fights. He doesn't seem like the type.To be totally fair, the last thing Poatan did was duck Anakalaev. He made it clear he wanted to fight Anakalaev, it's not his fault the organization didn't book the fight. He was prepared to fight Ankalaev in 300. He also expected and was ready to fight Ankalaev but they made the Jiri rematch, who was as deserving as Anakalaev at that time, since their first fight was tough... Plus, Jiri demolished Rakić in 300, one of the top contenders, so Jiri was still ranked above Ankalaev.
He fought Khalil, in a tough spot, that is, putting his title on the line vs someone ppl didn't think much about but the fighters knew Khalil's #8 ranking didn't reflect his actual abilities, instead he was a #8 with the potential of a top 3... Yet he took the fight while on antibiotics, injured, made no complaint, all while knowing ppl were taking Khalil for granted when he knew Khalil was as tough as Jiri Prochazka, Hill, Ankalaev, but just not well known... He is there to fight whoever the organization puts him up against.
